Yes. You win. I think all the young men and women who have volunteered for service, knowing they will be sent to Iraq of Afghanistan, do wish the peoples in those countries loved America and offered no threat.

But I do think that part of the reason they all volunteered is they realize that many people in those areas don't like America and do offer threats and they want to do what they can to keep the threats somewhere far away.

I suppose if bush had only realized that shooting cruise missiles at mountains was effective deterant, they could all have been home for last Thanksgiving. Bush is dumb, you're right.

The great thing is, they have a process for estimating, so you have to go through a calculation just as time consuming as solving it in order to get the wrong answer. Your answer may not be as far off as Rumsfeld's troop requirement estimations, but, still, it's the wrong answer.
