that is very funny indeed. I esp like the Chloe Sevigny rip-apart.

What's the etiquette?
I know three divorced women who had their stones re-set as pendants. None of their new husbands seem to mind that they all display the old rock. One of the women now has a pendant stone which is larger and of better quality than her new engagement ring. I told her husband that he should have gone the non-diamond route, but he chose to ignore my advice.

I have no idea what my ex did with her engagement ring or wedding band. I threw my old wedding band in the trash one day while doing some cleaning.

Regarding getting the right type of ring, the real key is getting the right stone shape. I couldn't have cared less if my wife had wanted a different setting, but for some reason trading in the stone would have annoyed me.

On a related note, I have one friend whose wife (now ex-wife) bought a huge cubic zirconium ring which she insisted on wearing instead of her engagement ring, which is kind of rude IMHO.

I am confused as to why this is an issue.

I had cause to inspect the line recently when a similar bet was proposed to me. Detroit by three.

Stone size relates directly to penis size?

Speaking of this, anyone else using his LiveSTRONG Lance Armstrong Band as a cock ring?

How many times do you have to twist it around?

It seems to me this is such a relationship dependant question, and all on how the woman will respond.

In the end, its a small symbolic rock. There is something really romantic in the notion of the guy picking it out w/o input from the woman. He tries to find one she'd like, sure, but she wears it for the symbol regardless of whether she'd prefer something else. I mean you wear a dozen things every day you pick out; there'd be just the one thing someone else picked out.

That said, our first xmas together I bought my then GF several shirts. She made no pretense of liking them, or wearing them. They were returned. She did apologize, but explained she just couldn't wear what I bought. Given this history I didn't try to pick out any ring.

Coltrane should start with some ugly Xmas gifts and see if she wears them.

How tiresome. Mumsie always says that she much prefers the tea plantation in Ceylon that Poppy's father gave her (in appreciation of her discretion regarding what he called "the unfortunate Century Club incident") after the wedding to the Abyssinian Star (the legendary diamond liberated by Sir Richard Burton from the Mahdi's seraglio in Khartoum) she received before the wedding.

"Whenever anyone says 'what's that got to do with the price of tea in China?' to me, I merely smile. Tea, my dear Snidely," she used to say when she still spoke to me "is this girl's best friend."

Ah, memories.

Usually three times around my wrist, but not with the cock ring on. It's not very malleable then.
