Penske and Hank.

I'm not sure what your partner would go as, though.

Been a long time since I've seen a good Charybdis costume. (Which one is the whirlpool?)

Charybdis (thanks for the sp. fix) was a nymph who lived in a cave and sucked water in and out to create a whirlpool.

Bonnie and Clyde

I like the Bonnie and Clyde suggestion. What about ...

Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor
Mike Nichols and Diane Sawyer (you can pull off the haughtiness, I'm sure) (and it depends on the crowd -- will they know who Mike Nichols is, let alone that he's Diane's hubby?)
Sam and Diane
Nick and Carla
Frasier and Lilith/Niles
Angel/Spike and Buffy
Westley/Humperdinck and Buttercup
Yogi and Boo Boo

It's often difficult to be sure of the gender of posters. For example, one long-time male poster recently revealed that he sleeps in a pretty bed with flowing sheers that make him feel princessy. Boy, was that a confusing day!

Spoken like a true W Republican. Of course, revolutions have popular support. I think you have more of a coup in mind. Fortunately, now that she has her gold-plated vibrator, RT can't be bought that easily.

I think he's just being overly pessimistic. Sure, we'll be in Iraq forever, but I don't see the insurgents ever driving us out like they did in Vietnam.

By the way, shouldn't all this be taking place over on Politics?

I know why nobody wants them around here. Plus side is you can get discounts on them if you can find them. That, and the supersized left leg. I figure you must suffer for automotive excellence.
Curiosity on my part, but have the slapstick automatics reduced the enthusiast's need for a manual, or are they merely a gimmick for middle-aged old fucks like me who are too lazy to mess with a clutch and prefer to just let the car do the work in traffic jams?

Is the need/preference for manual or stick based on "having more control of the car" this really is more a fringey question. The ability to downshift to pull the car bacK?
