agreed. but i was thinking the black patent leather ballet skims might not be so bad. Any other suggestions on black patent leather ballet flats? I just returned a pair that fell apart after one week. Ugh!

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

I saw some really pretty ones from Geoxx. They have some cool technology in them as well.

otherwise, Cole Haan or the Nordstrom's site.

Screw patent leather. Shouldn't you be looking for something in a nice shell cordovan?

Pushing Daisies
Has anyone been watching this show? I thought it was going to be stupid and was all ready to ignore it when I got home to find my gf watching it. She likes it and I have to admit, the writers have a quirky type of style that is charming and funny at the same time. I don't know how long they can go with the idea of a guy who brings people back to life with one touch, but the two episodes I've seen so far have been pretty clever. Anyone else watching?

That's weird -- I was going to ask the same thing. I have the first two episodes saved on my tivo and I've been debating whether it's worth watching. I haven't gotten attached to any new shows this season yet. I can't get into Reaper and Life seems like something I should be enjoying but I'm just not. Torchwood is ok, but not as good as I expected. Are there any new shows that are worth a season's pass?
ETA: And obviously I've been watching Gossip Girl but as much as I love Kristen Bell's voiceovers and Serena's hair, I don't think I'm going to become addicted to it.

Would it surprise anyone to know that my childhood nickname was "Lucy"? It was probably intended as an insult, but I took it as a compliment (in true Lucy fashion...).

Does it surprise you as much as it surprises me that you and I got the same character?

It completely does not surprise me that based on 3-4 questions, none of which were political in nature, you and dtb ended up the same. Yeah, I know you didn't ask. I don't care.

Reaper has been OK. I have also sort-of enjoyed Chuck and Dirty Sexy Money.

I was also ready to ignore it but the local reviewer thought it was good so I gave it a chance. I like the visual look of the show -- it's different -- and the first two episodes have been clever. Quirky is a good adjective for it.

Are you still watching Journeyman? Because I think I'm done with it. How does a guy keep a job when he keeps disappearing all the time? It was fun at first, but I think week after week of helping people in the past is going to be tough. And the bit with the earthquake was stupid. Who would believe someone on the phone reporting an earthquake?
Oh, and worst show of the year is Bionic Woman. What a huge disappointment.

The premier of Chuck didn't do anything for me. I've heard great things about Dirty Sexy Money but I hate to start watching a show several episodes in -- I'm very OCD that way. That's why I don't watch Heros or Ugly Betty.

Oooh, me too! I haven't picked up a new show in years because of that. Last one was Studio 60 from the Sunset Strip. Didn't last very long.
DVDs are the only way I can catch up and then I'm always a season behind.

If you get Showtime, Dexter has been better this year than last.
