Your points are well taken, but you know what? He really should have considered the consequences of what he was doing when he did it. There are some times in life where whatever you're getting ($, pussy, a free pass out of trouble) is just toooo easy, and you know its going to come back and bite you in the ass.
FWIW, I never sued that Maude Lebowski wannabe - and my damages have been incalcuable.

Her book comes out next month. A friend in a bookstore said that they got the ARC this week. Author blurb:

In May 2004, 26-year-old JESSICA CUTLER was thrust into the public eye when the online diary she kept for her friends exploded into Washington's scandale du jour. Immediately fired from her job as mail girl in the office of Senator Mike DeWine (for "unacceptable use of Senate computers"), Jessica remains unemployed in Washington DC.

Seems like that economic proposition was fair at the outset (as in, hey, law school buddy, can you draft a complaint for me?). And they draft the complaint, send it to her, and demand a settlement or they file. She called his bluff, and he filed. Oh well-it's good pub. for her book.

I think that, when banging a younger staffer in DC, the reasonable person foresees many bad consequences. Having the whole story published internationally, to the detriment of one's career, may not be within that "reasonable" range. He's got a good shot at this. I've seen almost this exact case win, for moderate returns.

I love this "journal she kept for her friends." What?! It became public?!! And everyone on the Hill knows about it? But I never wanted this kind of attention!

I want gwinky to kick her in the head.
She gets her comeuppance, again and again. They remove them every three or four months when she has an emergency appt with her gyno. She has more strange rashes and growths than a floor in a homeless shelter.

Isn't "well-known tramp" redundant?

Most blogs have very small readership.

Do I cough up the money to fix it at the Saab place;

Get rid of the damn money pit; or

Get a non-saab stereo put in and have it last longer that my POS car?

TIA
Go bill.
