All and sundry,
Thanks for the advice kids. This last bit sounds like a promising endeavour. Its on my weekend to-do list. I ran the idea past a friend who's husband is from Manchester, UK and she said they refer to such a morning wake-up as the bangers-n-mash breakfast.
Here's hoping........

Except for the part where he implied hookups at weddings are limited to people in their 20s. Obviously he's never enjoyed the attentions of a cougar.

Exs make the best buddies. You presumably spent some time when you were into each other learning how to make each other hot. Might as well not waste the effort.

I hate hate hate the words "buddy" and "buddies." It's so hokey-sounding. I also hate the word hokey.

Duke bribing students to attend
This year's entering class gets iPods. Sort of makes the t-shirt gift I received upon entering Smallville U a few years back look kind of crappy. Bastards.
[as an aside, itsn't this just a boost for eBay anyway? how many Duke freshmen don't have an iPod at this point?]

TdF Question
Cycling Fans:
Because of all the enthusiasm on the boards about the race(s), I've been reading some of the news articles about the TdF. I did not understand the controversy today about Armstrong chasing down Simonini (sp). What was unsportsmanlike about chasing him down--I know they hate each other, and I know Simonini has no chance of winning and is not a threat. Still, is it customary to let other people win? It's unsportsmanlike to try and win the stage? It seemed the 6 leaders asked Armstrong to back off, and he did when Simonini agreed to fall back as well. WTF. I guess I just don't understand the unofficial rules of the game. Is it like not piling on the points in Football or Basketball when you're really far ahead?

A matronly old relative of mine had a saying she would always sternly intone to us:
The higher a monkey climbs, the more you see his ass.
Just sharing.

Befriend me
I think "friend" works fine. If it's relevant that we fuck or fucked, I can say "we used to fuck" or whatever or it will be clear from the context ("a couple friends were over and I finally tried that dp thing").

I don't care whether he walks, trots or canters back to his barn as long as he gets the hell out of my barn.

When did you get all creepy and weird? The tone of your posts makes me wonder whether you've been put on some mood-regulating drug or gotten into new age shit or crystals or had a lobotomy or something.
