But if you mean Aloha as in goodbye, you are correct.

This morning I'm not really up for subtext. But thanks for giving me credit for being capable of it.

Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

I think this works because I have only dumped maybe 3 people in my whole life. I've always made sure I got dumped rather than vice versa. Dumping someone is bad luck.
Getting dumped intentionally is a talent. No one gets hurt. The girl feels good b/c she did the dumping, and the guy gets out (which is what he wanted, but w/out conflict (because he's a pussy)). Or vice versa.

Poll: who has, to avoid the pain of dumping an SO, tried to get the SO to dump them instead and how?

I wish someone would come up with a pithier way of saying this.

Faberge eggs to be auctioned off:

There's a public viewing. Go. These are utterly useless, exquisite, matchless, truly stunning in workmanship.

Perhaps I ought to redirect my purse fund. And embezzle a few million dollars from somewhere.

I went to a Democratic chili cook off shortly after the whole Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill thing. One team made Long Dong Silver Chili that contained a whole keilbasa. Next to that table was an old guy in overalls serving tequila shots with tobasco. When someone did a shot, he'd yell, "Far in the hole!"

I was once stuck in this relationship that was going nowhere. It was an ongoing torture of relationship mediocrity. But I knew, for reasons that are too complicated to explain here, that if I broke it off, it would probably mean months of torment and anguish and all that. I was stuck. Then, Coltrane's simple truth struck me - I just needed to get her to break up with me. But how? How do you get this to happen? As Coltrane notes, it is quite a talent. Then, like an epiphany, it hit me. So the very next weekend, I slept with her best friend and "accidently" had her find out. Win - Win!

Available, but not so attractive. Or I would have gone for the best-friend/sister threesome.

I don't understand why SD says it's bad luck to behave this way (in my opinion, it's just the opposite and I actually think this is shameful behavior), but I've done it. I was dating (living with for a while, until we had to live apart for school) this really really nice guy. Very hot, much younger than I was, positively worshipped me.

Of course that meant I cheated on him like crazy and actually left clues all over the place that I was cheating on him so that he would find out and dump me. He never did. We ended up sort of breaking up mutually because we were just not going to live in the same city. I feel really shitty still about what I did because I'm sure he knew, he was just kind of wilfully blind to it. But who knows, he could have been cheating on me too and I just didn't see it.

It was like deep down I knew I didn't want to be with him, but couldn't tell him that to his face because my ego wouldn't allow it (he was great for my ego).
