What a fun, sexy time for Sox fans.

Great sports weekend. Add to this the last few minutes of the Giants game and Game 2 of the WS. If Coltrane posts before 2:00 PM today, one of you Chicago (non Sox fan) types should beat his ass.

Has this been the worst post-season in baseball history as far as umpires blowing calls and deciding games? Good lord. I count three potentially game-changing blown calls.

I didn't title it "Confidential to Shifter". I would never rub it in... unless it's directed at a Red Sox, Yankees, Twins, Indians or Cubs fan.

If I were a Houston fan I'd be pissed off right now. Are you okay?

The Big Ten football games have a guy watching the video. He has the opportunity to review any call. No one needs to ask for the replay. The review has overturned some bad calls this year, and saved games from being lost for the wrong reason.

Why not have that for baseball? The other sports can at least complain about the game being slowed too much, but shoot, how many pitches were there before the HBP? It's not like having that double check would slow the game by any appreciable amount.

Because you should have been out getting drunk until the wee hours of the morning last night, drinking in the feeling of a come-from-behind-grand-slam-and-walk-off-home-run World Series win. You shouldn't even be awake right now.

I was on the road when the game was on, but I had the benefit of an excellent play-by-play announcer. Heartbreaking.
