Am I the only one that sees nothing inappropriate in Jenna's actions in the pic? She's making out on the dance floor. Good for her. So what?

and what kind of scalper are you? crowes are one of the greatest live acts ever, have a very devoted fan base, split in 2001 and are back for only this one run in nyc. think if jerry garcia came back to life for aweek but on a smaller scale. its the kidna deal where you would travel, stay in a hotel and see every show that is being played. they do different sets every night.
i have got to get tickets for this. any other crowes fans on the baord who are calling in ? wanna do the deal wherever whoever gets throuh first buys extras? Where is sebby?

Here's a suggestion, if you're willing to take a risk. And really, what do you have to lose at this point?
There's a guy I used to work with who used to book acts for a promoter. He told me that even when a show sells out, there are usually some number of tickets at each venue, which are reserved for VIPs/Guests of the act/etc. Usually, the day before or the day of the event, if the allocated tickets are not all spoken for, they will release them for sale to the public. The easiest way to order the tickets and to keep track of what's available is to purchase them through the web.
I personally witnessed him get really good seats (floor level) to a sold-out show using this method. In fact, the first couple of times he tried that day, he checked to see what seats were available and thought he could do better, so he kept refreshing his screen (actually, I believe there's a menu you access to check for available seats) and managed to get even better seats. (10th-15th row, if I remember correctly). This method, while I can't guarantee it's fool-proof, seems pretty sound from what I've seen. All it requires is patience and a willingness to get the tickets at the will-call window.
While I can't guarantee this method will work, as I've only seen it happen once, what I might suggest is trying it for a few shows you don't care to see a day or two before the show is scheduled. Maybe check their tour schedule and try it with a few of the venues the Crowes have scheduled before the show you want to attend. I consider the guy who showed me this a pretty good friend, and I have no reason to believe he'd bullshit me about this.
Hope this helps.

Dreamy Vior Dire
The only awkward voir dire moment I have was when a woman described her husband's profession as "stationary engineer." Education level is important to me, so I say, "I'm sorry? What kind of engineering?" She says, "Stationary." I say, in my folksy I'm-not-too-bright tone, "I'm not sure what that entails. What field of engineering is that?" She gives me a sour look and says, "He's a janitor, alright?" If she'd said "sanitation" I would have gotten the point, but how are you supposed to look like the good guy after that exchange?
So I used a peremptory and PMed Hank to warn him that his Mom was coming home early and pissed.

I never said there was anything wrong with what she was doing on the denac efloor. I get pissed off, though, with the sacsharine pleas of "leave the Bush twins alone, they're not public figures..." They most certainly are, in my view.

Why are they public figures? Because their dad is in politics? Because he's president? Because one of the above and they are young and sort of hot (at least compared to what's recently been in the White House)?
Are all famous peoples' children "public figures"?

I don't know about concert tickets, but I've gotten pretty good baseball seats from craigslist for 1/2 to 2/3 of the price you'd pay on ebay. I think I got 4 foul pole lower level Saturday Cubs tix for $200. On stubhub.com or ebay they probaby would have cost me $360+.
Plus, most people selling on craigslist are not scalpers, as far as I know.

Dear friends in Abidjan
I have dear friends in Abidjan?? Who knew.
An interesting spin on the usual 419 scam.
====================
My dear friend,
My name is opoku mohamed, a senior State Security and Protocol Officer attached to the presidential wing of the international airport here in Abidjan.
My duty among others is to ensure the easy and safe movement of top government officials into and out of the airport. As you may be aware courtesy of the cabel network news (cnn), there has been a breakout of hostilities in the city accassioned by the activities of some anti goverment elements.
In this circumstance, people are stampeding to evacuate the country. My main reason of writing this letter is to alert you of my discovery of the sum of 10.5 million US dollars in a diplomatic baggage abandoned in my office. I have subsequently used my personal network to ship the said baggage with the money to
a London based security and finance company for custody.
I am looking for a reliable foriegn partner that will act as agent/trustee for the clearance of this money for our subsequent mutual investment in any safe economy as my present official status does not permit me to handle such a huge sum. If you are honest and capable to handle this please get back urgently to me
for more details as to the particulars of the baggage/clearance instructions, name of the security company and officer in charge. We shall also discuss your entitlement thereafter. Please note that the whole excersise shall be safe and fast to conclude.
Regards.
opoku mohamed

1. Yes, and because they have, to some extent, allowed themselves to become public figures by campaigning with him the last time around. I will agree that they probably didn't invite public scrutiny before then.
2. Yes. (See above).
3. Yes. (sort of).
4. No. I think it depends on how much the children or their parents allow them to be subject to public scrutiny.
But basically, we Americans are too "celebrity crazed," so fair or not, it's probably going to happen anyway, unless the famous parents lock their kids up in a windowless room.

Bono can walk the streets of Dublin without being hounded.
I hate starfucking Americans. I couldn't be more bored with celebrity.
