A week or so ago, towards the end of the hot tub portion of the party, a friend of mine accidently dunked his phone in the water.

Knowing how lost I'd be should a similar fate befall me, I expressed sympathy and hoped for a speedy recovery.

Last night, I ran into the friend, and he showed me his brand new cell phone. I inquired as to whether or not the numbers could be retrieved, and he said, "Numbers, yes. Pictures, no."

I blanched at the thought of pictures that could have ended up on that phone, and said that perhaps it was for the best.

He laughed, showed me his new phone and said, "this one takes video!"

I know I'm going to forget that cruical fact at a point where it's probably best that I don't.
