Edited to add: I have no problem with MMcC the movie star. He's icky IRL. Had you lived in Austin in the late 90s, you would have had plenty of opportunities to use your laminated list.
don't hate him bc he is non ethnic.

Ben passes the buck and blames the director (and whoever did the editing). Right, and when that doesn't stick, expect him to blame the writer(s). And the camera people, and then the caterers. It couldn't be him or J-Ho, could it?

Which reminds me, has anyone ever officially declared Aff-Ho to be a 'good' actor, and if so, when? I finally got around to seeing 'The Sum of All Fears' and though Ben was awful. By far the worst, least plausible Jack Ryan of them all.

There goes Schadenfreude...I guess it was time for me to stop using it anyway IRL...

Ok biatch. See for yourself: Levels of Mormon Heaven and Hell.

My Favorite Quote:

OUTER DARKNESS: Non-mormons will be imprisoned in this "Hell" until the resurrection and final judgment. Then Satan and his angels will be cast there for eternity, along with a few "Sons of Perdition," or really evil humans.

I particularly like the concept of non-mormons being put in hell first, where they can sit around and wait until Satan and the angels join them. Which reminds me, do you think they wear flip-flops and capris in Outer Darkness?

As for knowing more Mormons than I do, that is not particularly impressive. I'm willing to stipulate that you in fact know more Mormons than I do.

First of all, only losers go on reality tv, so they probably wouldn't even give me a second look. But if they did, I would definitely do the dance with no steps, should the occassion arise.

Amazing Race. I would do it for all the world to see. And I'd want it to be with a hot girl from another team who was on the show to evaluate the relationship of whatever guy she was with. I know this has been done, but it's so fucking funny that it'd be worth it to do again.

No live feeds on Amazing Race, but I'd give the crew a thrill. She could blow me and then I'd hit her slotsy.

Kids are hilarious. Extremely entertaining. You can't make up the shit they do.
This is the only possible reason I can come up with to explain the (otherwise extremely embarrassing for our country) success of the tv genre "America's Funniest ___________".

The funniest ones are where people have horrible mishaps that suggest that they have suffered serious bodily injury (come to think of it -- do they ever show anything else?).

There's one that I still get the giggles over just recalling the scene: one of those picnic tables where the benches are connected to the table. Yep -- you guessed it -- one too many people sitting on one side of the table, nobody on the opposite bench, and the inevitable flip-up of the table and all its contents (I'm sure a jello salad was among the delectables) while the people sitting on the bench fall on their backs.

HILARIOUS I tell you!

It is pretty fun, isn't it? It's my second favorite hobby after tennis and bluffing.

No cats, but SO has one that I am quite fond of. I'm pretty sure I could not live in a house with more than 2 animals. But my mom broke me of any urge to do so by having 3+ dogs most of the time that I was growing up.

I have a vivid memory of a fat cat sitting on a tv sleeping who just falls over for no particular reason. Why this was being filmed I have no idea.

But, my friend in college who was a psych major actually wrote a paper on why we laugh at other's falling over. I of course never read it bc I was doing bong hits and bangingb the ultimate team.

Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

FoxNews = Fair & Balanced? I don't think so....

NEW YORK (AP) -- Fox News Channel has sued liberal humorist Al Franken and the Penguin Group to stop them from using the phrase "fair and balanced" in the title of his upcoming book.

Filed Monday in Manhattan, the trademark infringement lawsuit seeks to force a Penguin publisher, Dutton books, to rename the book, "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right." It also asks for unspecified damages.

Fox News registered "Fair & Balanced" as a trademark in 1995, the lawsuit said.

Franken's "intent is clear -- to exploit Fox News' trademark, confuse the public as to the origins of the book and, accordingly, boost sales of the book," it said.

Dutton spokeswoman Lisa Johnson accused Fox News' parent company, News Corp., of trying to suppress the book, which is due out next month.

"The attempt to keep the public from reading Franken's message is un-American," she said.

[I'd post the link, but that's the whole story. It's on (surprise) cnn.com.]

This is not true. He's just saying this for publicity. And where's the spoiler space?

He is so on my laminated list*. I have heard, though, that he's pretty skanky in real life. But in the pic-chas, they do make him look dreamy! (Swoon.)

*My husband is attuned to this fact. So much so that whenever some movie is on tv that includes My Dreamboat in the cast, my husband says, "Hey, isn't your boyfriend in this movie?" (or something to that effect.) The last time he said this, our eldest child looked a little confused -- we had to explain that daddy was only kidding.

Was this Amanda and David the first week? I think that I missed a few of those shows. Anyway, no one ever had sex before in the house? How can you tell, if it's under the covers? I seem to recall, even if not in BB4, some serious under-the-covers action in previous BBs ( I caught a few episodes here and there), and I don't know how you can tell. Once a person is on top of another and they're making out, who can tell if underthings get pulled aside and things get put into other things when it's all under the covers.

We were all in college once, I would imagine, and maybe a few of us have even had roommate in the room sex. This couldn't be that different from that. Unless one party is really a screamer or a thrasher, how can you tell?

As an answer to the poll, I think this would depend how much I could subconsciously ignore the cameras. Even though I say that I would always know that they were there, it seems that everyone one these shows always talks about how they just forget they're there after a while.

From Drudge:

"Franken is neither a journalist nor a television news personality," according to the complaint. "He is not a well-respected voice in American politics; rather, he appears to be shrill and unstable. His views lack any serious depth or insight."

Shrill? Oh dear!

Franken is also accused of verbally attacking O'Reilly and Sean Hannity on at least two occasions, and of being "either intoxicated or deranged"

Of course, one would have to be either to attack Bill O'Reilly.
