That makes perfect sense. Especially since your response to "Why would anyone pick an all-star, total package player over a point guard who is having his first halfway decent season in his whole career?" was to say, "He's a good point guard" over and over again with your pickles in your ears.
TM
Edited to add: I'll note you finally shut up when I challenged you to a game. I'm not sure if you're in New York, but PM me if you want to play.

We need to have a webcast of the 1-on-1 TM vs. Hank. Good times.

A buddy of mine from high school went to Cornell to study engineering. He has an accent that is associated with my home state, and he is one of the most laid back people you'd ever meet. When he moved to New York, he wasn't taken seriously at all by his classmates. The whole accent thing turned them off, and they were taking his laidbackness for laziness. Turns out that he is also also brilliant. Sharp tongue where you don't realize that he's made a total fool out of you until ten minutes later. Totally assesses a situation before jumping in, which is why he looks so laid back.
Another guy from our high school went up there to study architecture the same year that he did. After about two or three months, one of their classmates commented to the architect: "Wow, ____ is really smart, huh?" The architect replied "well, he was the number one physics student in the country when we were in high school." Our buddy went on to get the highest grades in that engineering class.

There was a guy in my law school class from the backwoods of somewhere. Really thick accent, which of course made him sound stupid to all the high-fallutin' education types populating most of the class. I figured that surely they wouldn't have accepted a total idiot into the class. After three years, I reached the conclusion that they had.

I have to admit, hearing a deep southerner speak fluent French (in France) w/out losing the southern accent is highly entertaining. This guy was brilliant but thought everyone was a spy.

My gift to you. It's going to be a small piece though.

Self-assessment can take a while. What happened to the guy with the accent?
