Mike Danton arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill an acquaintance.

From the article:

Danton told a female friend that a hitman from Canada was coming to kill him and asked the woman if she knew someone who would kill the person for $10,000. ... The complaint alleges that Danton actually was trying to kill a male acquaintance after an argument Tuesday in which the two fought over Danton's "promiscuity and use of alcohol." The complaint said Danton feared the acquaintance, who is not named, would talk to St. Louis Blues management and ruin Danton's career.

Parallels between a guy who wanted to hire a killer and a guy who skipped out on a lucrative NBA contract to travel the world, and who was murdered by his own brother?

So, the parallels are: (1) they are both men, and (2) they were professional athletes.

Bison Dele is a sad, sad case. He, his girlfriend, and their captain are missing and presumed dead in Tahiti. His brother was pursued by authorities and died in Mexico.

Bison Dele was "Brian Williams" until his last year in the league. He and this hockey guy both changed names for very odd reasons. "bison" isn't a muslim name, he changed for reasons unknown- ie he was nutty. So two pro athletes change names and then get into murder investigations- different sides sure, but still.
