I was joking because the last episode consisted of an uproar caused by the oft-offended Christian demo about a skit they had never even seen. You said you would only watch if you liked the Christian character or something. There seemed to be a kind of neat sense of continuity from tv to your world.
I don't think your analogy makes much sense since there is no lack of Christian people, themes, characters, shows or channels on tv. I certainly didn't tune in to the show to see how the one black character would be portrayed though.

Maybe I'm watching the wrong shows, but give me some examples of major characters on nonreligious programs who are openly evangelical Christians. If they're out there, I've missed them. There are some short-term or one-time characters but that's not the same.
I'm curious as to how the producers choose to portray Harriet over the long haul. Because I haven't seen another character like this in a major role, I imagine it is for me something like a black person might have been curious how some of the early major black characters would be written.
And I don't think you really understood what I originally said (or who I am) if you thought there was any similarity continuity from the reaction to the crazy Christian skit on the show to my thoughts about this show. I think some Christians (real or purported) do some stupid stuff that deserves to be mocked. Because of that I used to love the Church Lady skit on SNL.
If this is a major whiff, my apologies.

The SFC (who uses a Dvorak keyboard, btw--our computers are set up to toggle back and forth) is broad-shouldered, mostly bald, blond with a dark red (full) beard. We're both on the tallish side.
I've thought about doing Hester Prynne and the Reverend Dimmesdale, or gypsy and pirate, but those also would require some work on my part, and I'll be pretty busy making robot costumes for my boys.

Flower like in Genesis (the band, not the bible thingy)? And a bee? That would be adorable.

Flower and Bee are E-Z. Here's how:
For the Flower, go out and get a package of flat crepe-paper. Dress entirely in green, for the stem, and then pull about 10 pieces of your favor color of crepe paper out, staple them to a thin scarf, wrap them around your next, and fluff them out -- Wala! Beautiful flower.
For the bee, get black and yellow tights. Cut the Black into strips about six inches thick, and then paste every other strip on to the yellow tights. Then get a yellow sweater, and some black scarfs. Wrap the scarves around to create stripes, tacking them to the sweater with a few stiches in several spots. Get a set of wings from your favorite party store, and either buy or make a set of antennas.
The Flower can be done in just minutes. The bee takes a little longer.

Wow.
eta, I'm sure you were a very pretty flower but where in the world did you get an industrial girdle to hold your gut in?
Next, could you tell us all how to make a Peter Pan/tinkerbell costume?

I watched LA Law for the mean hatchet woman in the last season. She was the first no-nonsense woman lawyer I had seen featured in a show. I'm a guy, but I was wearing drag back then.

Because of LA Law, I never enter an elevator without looking to make sure it's actually there.
And thanks to Mission:Impossible (the movie), I never ride on top of an elevator car anymore.

Weird that.
They mis-made my sandwich today at the sandwich shop downstairs. I always order a ncs-original: green apples, tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers and pepper jack cheese on a grilled tortilla wrap. Well, today instead of cucumbers they put on grilled veggies (squash, zucchini and carrots). Normally I am all for the grilled veggies (and I'm glad those were added instead of, say, some dead animal), but this combination does not go together at all.
I blame rp.

That photo is old - the one's from the next year are after we discovered crepe paper.
For Peter Pan and Tinker Bell you need the fairy costume for the little guy and then any old green outfit and feathered hat for the big guy - it's a one man costume.
