Or is this your way of lamenting the fact that the cash register is no longer ringing with each post?

You brought your SO to the FB? Oh baby, you've just totally killed off your bangability score. Killed it like an animal.

I have only been driven through Texas. So I guess it's just me today - the lone non-Texan/not-former-Texan. NotFromThere

Sheesh. And despite my upper-Midwestern roots, my family is about to be overrun by Texans as my sister is marrying one and joining her SO's motherjumping huge family. He says they're in the oil business for several generations... Is pretty much everybody there in the oil business??

I'm still a Texan. The comment earlier was because rb made a comment about batteries (as if I didn't have power, and TX has power).

Is the last name Ewing? I think I might have heard of them.
Yes. Everyone here is in the oil business. They hand an oil lease to every U-Haul that crosses the state line. And you have to take the bar to figure out what the hell it says.

That didn't help me at all - I never took Oil and Gas and just guessed on the O&G essays. Come to think of it - I did the same with the rest of the test...

My sister's SO's already used the word root (as in foot), and that threw me... I'm just happy there's no real discernable accent in my family. If they had the thick Chi-kaw-go accent, future family get-togethers would be a horror show (moreso than they are already).

I thought that was an upper midwest thing, not a TX thing (uh instead of ooooo). I could be wrong. Not originally from TX.
