When a guy's got his head "between the two things" its hard to see much of anything... In fact, with certain women, you could suffocate in there. NTTAWWT.

Goes by the name Clayton Willams though, and he drilled an oil well on my daddy's ranch. You know, we've had the ranch for generations, and last year one of our steers came in near the top at the livestock show. I'm on one of the rodeo committees, don't you know. Everyone wants to be on those committees. I rode a horse to school when I was a kid, and I teased my hair big. I drove a suburban and knew astronauts. I forgot my hat and boots and gun at the hotel, but generally I don't go anywhere without them. My deb ball was one of the nicest you've ever seen, and I wore the purest, whitest dress in all of Texas to show how pure and innocent I really was. My blood runs Maroon and White (insert Burnt Orange if so inclined), and I never dreamed of leaving the state to go to school. Why sure, my accent's like this awll the time. etc.

In the old days, whenever I traveled abroad, I made sure to say that I was a Texan instead of just an American. The treatment I'd get was so much better. These days, I'm not quite as sure. I may just claim to be from across the river.

Uh oh, Wonk. If they didn't know better a casual observer might think the Chicago mob was "messin' with Texas"...

Who was it that had the "weird/bad" things about Texas? They should have included "incessant and dull yapping about which school is better overall/has better football/has more supportive alumni/has fewer students with IQs below 25."

I'll take a "check your gun at the desk" anytime rather than having to listen to that crap.

Okay, what's with fucking bandwidth-sucking ellipses? Brevity is the soul of wit, Lester.

I'm not an Aggie, but I'm the offspring of one. When we were visiting Austin as kids, my dad used to comment that it'd be the place where we'd end up if we didn't study hard enough. He wisely never took us to College Station to show us the cesspool we'd end up in if, in his opinion, we did study. We even had a maroon and white suburban. It didn't work. A&M tried to lure me in their honors program with a free weekend on campus, and I fled the state.

A friend of mine is a sociology professor there. She says she could do YEARS of research of that cult.

All except for me. I have seen the light.
For years, I felt the same way about Hudson Hawk.

Harden's only 3-1. Hell, Wells and Delgado are a hell of a 3 - 4 punch! Tear him up baby!

Lester tried subtlety and sarcasm. I'll go for baseball bat to the head.

When you hit "quote" to reply to a post, the button on your screen doesn't know which part of the post you want to quote, so it includes all of it. This does not mean you must leave it at way. Oh, no no no. You can put your cursor into the quote and delete anything from the quote of the original post the rest of us don't need to read again to appreciate the great wit of your response. And if there are a couple of things in the original post that you'd want us to read to put your reply into context, you can use an ellipsis, just like you did back in your 1L legal writing class. Imagine that. Something from law school is relevant to GA posting!!!

Wonky, I don't mean to pick on you alone and you are far from the worst offender, but you had the bad luck to over-quote when I was feeling cranky about it.

Fu(it always amazes me when Lester and I agree on something)gee

Although you have been a bit mean to me (NTTAWWT), I need to give you the kudos on that one. I usually let the discussion go on for some time and then point out to all involved that no one else really cares to hear any of it. It's like MIT and CalTech alumni arguing over who has the best liberal arts classes.

In the spirit of the end of Friday, I am sorry I have been mean to you and I take it all back. Well, I don't take it back but I will endeavor to be less mean in future, unless you irritate or annoy me in any way.
