Get your drinking holidays straight--

St Patrick's Day - beer and pot
Cinco de Mayo - margaritas and coke
Halloween - mixed drinks and mushrooms
New Year's - champagne and X
Christmas - family, whatever's in the hotel minibar and valium

I am not a fan of Jon Peter, but he did sing well last night. I loved that Simon said he got his dancing ability from his Dad -- and that it was not a compliment. Deal with the fact that he is going to be around for awhile. In addition to the MO vote, he'll get a lot of Middle America votes, just not my Middle America vote.

And Paigow, as fond as I am of John Stevens, he didn't sing all that well last night. But tm diva, he is only 16 so his voice has time to develop. I think by the time he is 19 or 20, he'll have a lot more power and control. Nevertheless, if he is still on tonight, I'll hit the phone lines for him to stay.

And I don't know how you could be bored by LaToya. She totally sold that song. Did anyone else notice that after she told Ryan S. that Simon was the bomb to her, Simon leaned over to Paula and you could read his lips asking her if that was a good thing or bad.

Any receommendations for the Fourth of July (it's never too early to start planning)? Does the answer depend on if you're actually setting off fireworks as opposed to merely observing?

Actually, I still have yet to make it to the parade.
That's paradeS Coltrane... The South Side Irish parade is more fun (and more inebriated for that matter) than the downtown parade with all the politicians. Plus, all the great Irish pubs are right on the parade route.

Though it was dyed on Saturday, I can verify firsthand that the Chicago River still has a hint of nuclear green color today. Even more than it has the rest of the year...

Great point. The South Side parade is the only one I would want to attend, if I were to attend.

I am not a musician. I didnt do choir or gospel stuff. Icant sing myself so I guess my definition of a good singer is whether they sound good to me. Its subjecitve. He can hold a note and doesnt sound out of tune and isnt vibrating and I lliked it. I love him and would like to devirginize him.

Like I said, LaToya is a great singer without the intangibles that apparnetly draw me in. Maybe I jsut dont liike the name Latoya, maybe I dont like her songs, , who knows? But i dont get excited when I hear her like I do George and John, and to a lesser extent, Fantasia. Thus far.

and what is this "if" business about my main man John beng around after tonight? Did you see Leah the Micorphone tapping sourpuss?

A lot of salesmen will offer to close the vents - the tailors do it all the time - and not add a center vent. It preserves the line of the suit. Letterman is about the only guy who can pull off the look - he is tall and slender. On Leno - not so much.
I have no ass at all. That's not a concern. I merely don't want a cheesy suit.

Closing the vents entirely would fuck up the way the suits drape. I'm not a tailor and I can see that just from trying on the jackets.

My advice to you is to lay low. Few years back, your compatriots came on way too strong.

Billybob's wingman....good old Vernon indeed. He’s a chap who got off quite easy despite the taint of Clinton shite on him. Am I the only one who remembers the initial press conference he had about the Monica thing where he talked about “giving her a ride home”??? I’m still waiting to hear an explanation as to how the convo re: Billyboy commenced. While Verno did a nice job with the old he said/she said flimflam, he never answered the meat of the matter and the left wing commies in the press corps never asked. I can only imagine that it was something along the lines of “so, how’s your work on Willie's little willy cumming?? He still using the sink?? What’s that on your dress?!!??!"

Of course her response probably went down from there. Certainly she earned that Revlon referral. The hard way. On the other hand he would have been better off with one of Dick Morris’ hookers or even maybe Mondale’s daughter (she came cheap) as whatever he got ended up costing his firm a half mil in legal fees when the judge denied him reimbursement. Of course the Clintons once promised to help their “friends” with their legal expenses related to the Lewinsky thing but of course, like water from a tap that was just another lie flowing from their lips, although considering that Billary like to pay off their debts with cement shoes or free shots in Ft. Marcy Park, maybe VernO got the best deal he could.
