Option "d" below is the best line in the whole thing:
6) 1+1 equals…
a) 2
b) What ever the fuck I say it does
c) 3
d) You can’t add the same number to itself
That site is fantastic. I think that sort of describes the annoying bar crowd leather jacket guys I was fumbling in my description of last week.

Where the Streets Have No Name is a great classic rock song. But Without or Without You is nothing more than melodrama over a slow monotonous bassline. And I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For makes me want to shout "Then stop fucking musing about it and go look for it." One of the worst songs ever.

We can argue the merits, and I think they're all decent songs. But no matter how good, a song simply cannot be listened to 5 million times without becoming stale and monotonous.

Thank you, Burger. I am always confounded by these music polls, because it's a fluid thing. I can't imagine having an all-time, never-changing favorite. Good to know I'm not the only one.

Dissent. Mmmm, Bop sounds as good now as when I first heard it.

Yes, as does that "welcome my friends to the show that never ends" song. And we built this city.

They will always change. I put REM Life's Rich Pageant on mine not because I ever listen to it now (rarely, at best), but because it turned me on to a whole new type of music that FM radio in upstate NY back in the day would never have gotten me to. That genre made me musically who I am today, so I have to give the props to REM. That was sort of what I was trying to get across in my description for the poll ("favorite" not = "best"), but it doesn't really matter. Apparently it was a crap poll and I should be ashamed of myself for posting it. I am not ashamed because, really, I have no shame. Page hits are page hits, non?

I thought that show that never ends song was cool when I was 12 or 13. Not as cool as Billy Thorpe's "Children of the Sun," but still cool.
