Maybe I just need to buy some stuff that has color in place of the flowers.

My parents' subdivision has a guy who has lots of plastic flowers in his flowerbeds. He won yard of the month once (and then they figured it out.)
You could get a plant with colored or variegated leaves - as long as variegated plants get enough light, they won't turn green. A croton or something? In a couple months you can pick up some poinsettia.

I kind of want more color than one can get from a non-flowering plant. Re: pointsettias, bad things happen if you don't water it for a week or two (depending on humidity). I think maybe I just need to give up and get a vase or something. Or maybe some fake vinery to put around all the windows! (Too much HGTV)

My most hated chore is putting the duvet in the duvet cover after washing the cover. It's exhausting and I need a nap afterwards (convenient). I'd rather clean the toilet.
It's strange how most people refer to duvet covers but never to the duvet. It's usually a "comforter"...
And I found a t-shirt for $2 that says "Only cool hoes [sp] get to work my corner"...

I find succulents hard to kill, so I have a fair amount of them. A friend of mine just has a bunch of cacti in her place - they can be quite colorful. And hard to kill. Although I am not so sure how well they mix with cats.
You should make sure you have at least one live plant in your place though. Otherwise bad luck. Put it in the bedroom.

Try bamboos shoots. You can buy a mature shoot (even one with a twist in it) for about $15, and they last for(seemingly)ever. I also kill everything living within my vicinity but have had much luck with bamboos. Get a couple mature shoots together in a huge clear vase and viola! Color without stress. Just add water when you notice it is low.

You may already do this and still find the process irritating, but I've had an easier time getting the cover on by grabbing both top corners of the comforter in one hand, getting that hand up into one of the top corners of the cover, then sliding the other top corner of the comforter along the top seam to the other top corner (while holding the original corner in the original corner). Then you can hold onto the two corners and just shake it a lot and yank the sides down.
I hate buttoning all the buttons at the bottom.
I usually call them comforter covers, but I'm into hobgoblins.

What are these "succulents" you mention? I'm a little worried if I google I'll get porn.

The International Male has IM apparently
blueglue3000: Hey there! Are you a female from Los Angeles area and interested in a safe, quality sexual play with a young, very energetic, wild yet sensitive European male (disease free, drug free) with large equipment? I have a very high sex drive and can go on for hours (if that's okay with you). A clean pic will be sent upon request. Let me know if you're interested and we'll take it from there. Have a great day.

OK - this is a croton: http://palestracorp.com/plants5.jpg Don't eat it.
Also - I'm thinking those nice faux orchids would suit you well - lots of color, small space, not dependant on seasons and the beauty is - the real ones look fake too. Perhaps this: http://www.ipdplants.com/flower10.jpg or this http://www.ipdplants.com/flower7.jpg ?

I think that is because the term "duvet" is relatively new here. People used to sleep with sheets and blankets or with sheets and a comforter that did not have a cover because it was never next to the skin. In Europe, where the duvet I believe originated, the duvet always had a cover because the originators did not do the sheet and blanket or sheet and comforter thingy. So the duvet grew up with a cover, but the comforter did not. You still use the term comforter, but because it did not historically have a cover, the term "duvet cover" is used to refer to the thing that covers the comforter.
I would like to nominate this post as my most boring post ever. FYI, NTTAWWT, YMMV.

But it looks like it would make a good salad!
Those flowers look interesting (in a good way ![Wink](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif) ); they'd look unfaker if they were in different holders and didn't have the weird shredded newsprint (or whatever it is) in them.

This process is damn near impossible with a kingsize duvet and arms that belong to a 5'4" body. I have to continually move from edge to edge or enlist the help of another.
