Actually, and stupidly, the escalators are outdoors for most Metro stations. Not surprisingly, at least one out of three escalators is usually not operational.

Yes, fringey, they do have outdoor escalators in DC. On the Metro. Bc the slavebrains who designed those things were really thinking outside of the box and thats why they are always fuckng broken.

I've often wondered how much of that is attributable to persistent weather conditions versus, say, the competence and motivation of repair crews.

Yes, but that was clearly a commercial setting.

Now bring me a doughnut.

I know Anne was jesting but I also know that there are a couple of postres here WHO ARE NOT ONE OF MY FANS who would love to spoil this for me. Any admin or mod who sees a tennis spoiler (and at this point it would be safin-federerr which I personally thinki s gonna go five sets and i give safin a decent chance to win , he is after all my favorite player) please delete that spoiler. I hav eadded three extra hours to my recording time in case its a marathon like yesterdays incredible serena-sharapova match was. I had an extra hour for that and only made it tp part of the second set of the davenport match.

who won the davenport match adnd what was the line schore? I am afreid to look it up bc of spoilers.

and speaking of spoilers, i saw a website that spoiled the Venus match for me. I wrote them an angryletter and they changed their policy on posting overseas sports results. go me.

Hmmm .... Norway. Off to look at some Scandanavian porn from the boss's computer.

That 3rd set was amazing. Who knew there were so many male tennis fans in DC? I was watching the tennis on the small TV at the bar figuring that the Duke/Maryland game would be on the big screen for all the boys to see. Imagine my surprise when I found out that they were all watching tennis.

I hate the fact that the hotel does not have ESPN2 in the rooms.

Davenport won, 2-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-4.

ETA score.

Would it help if I said yo naked momma is a walking, one-woman genocide?

Not to hijack this thread or anything, but I was watching a ProActiv informercial about 3:00 this morning, and they introducted Elle MacPherson as a prominent new user of the stuff.

Is there anyone you'd think would be less likely to need teenage zit cleanser than Elle?

I think not.

How come everything is my fault?
