Why?

You people who put non-fat milk in your coffee drinks are nuts. Why not just put water in it?

Mmmmmmm, whole milk and/or half & half....

Because whole milk/cream make the coffee slimy.

I know this confession will be met with derision by the Str8-types of the Lawtalkers Fashion Tips Chatting Board for Lawyers, who cannot be bothered to even read the review of a song unless it is some white label mash up of an obscure electronica-Bhangra fusion and an alienating underground hip hop cut (the Danger Mouse re-mix). But some of us just like music that makes us feel good when we listen to it, regardless of how "hipster" or "cool" it may make us look when it flashes across our iPod display.
I like Weezer and I don't care if I'm whiffing.

2. I love every Weezer record except the new one. With the exception of "We Are All on Drugs," its got none of the wit of their previous records. Cuomo should get off the meditation and back to the coke. The Blue Album is a classic, and the extended version with the extra tracks is worth every penny. Weezer has an impressive list of killer tunes: El Scorcho, Hash Pipe, Surf Wax America, Getchoo, Dope Nose, My Name is Jonas, Slob... Shit, how can you not dig Weezer? Part of what makes them good is they sound really conventional, but they do it so damn well. I can even stand Bev Hills, until that gay part where he gives the sarcastic speech about being an outsider. He's joking, but its not that funny.

II. Skim milk in coffee is like diet coke and bourbon.

I want to say to the calorie obsessed 20-somethings frittering with packets of Sweet n Lo and skim milk, "Don't fret, the acceleration of your metabolism you gain from the coffee will cancel out the 1 gram of fat in that half & half you put in it."

Its like people who use shotglasses to measure drinks in their own home (yes, these people exist). Why? Are you concerned about liability for overserving yourself if you hit someone driving your lawnmower drunk?

You're just a fan of my coke over meditation prescription.

Coffee should be black. All milk products are just wrong.

Bourbon goes with ice. And nothing else.

I am a purist.

Does the fact that you’ve met the bass player alone make Weezer’s music sound good to you? If so, can I put out a record singing standards (Moon River, American Pie, Louie Louie, I Fought the Law, Midnight Train to Georgia, Wichita Lineman, My Adidas, Funk Cold Medina, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Ain’t Talkin Bout Love, Horse With No Name) and go on a “visiting tour” and cash in? If meeting people is all I need to do, I am buying a motorhome and some studio time tomorrow.

It's not the fat, it's the sugar.

I use the powdered vanilla in mine. I have no idea whats in that, but I like it.

I'm the dick who unscrews the cap and pours 3/4 of the whole salt shaker's worth in. Sugar just doesn't dissolve enough in the coffee, and I don't care for the artificial sweeteners (even though I drink diet soda by the case).

For those of us fighting our aging metabolisms to maintain our girlish figures, sugar is our mortal enemy. (Well, mine anyway.)

Even so, I never did put sugar in my coffee (even before I had to be careful what I eat). If I'm at home, I put low-carb milk (with extra calcium for my geriatric bones) in it, but otherwise, I go black.

I'm not a big fan of whole milk. In Canada, whole milk is known as homo milk. the appellation doesn't influence whether I like it or not though.

Speaking of which, I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night. Didn't really care for the ending at all.
