Excessive Proof
People often say "it proves too much" as if this is a bad thing. But wouldn't you rather have your theory prove to much rather than too little? If you have a little extra stuff that the theory proved, then why not just discard it, or maybe donate it to someone who is coming up a little short on the whole proof thing. But don't disqualify all the stuff that you wanted to prove in the first place just because you happened to prove some extra stuff too. Right?

this is an aside, and not in response to your thoughtful inquiry.
I just wanted to say that I'm beginning to have difficulty fully envisioning this "right kind" of newber that you are shooting for.

I thought this way in law school. Now that I'm outside the box, I just make sure all that extra proof is baked in to the pudding.

Damn, it really is the 80s all over again. (spree: apparently current article stating that Andy Taylor is leaving Duran Duran)

Heroin problems? Or was that why Roger left? Poor old Roger.

It is this kind of mentality that makes the position of Chair of Newber Attraction and Retention so trying. A man of lesser courage would have thrown in the towel years ago.

Paisley is a Newber. Have you talked to her about what attracted her to the site and what is making her stay?

I have a lot of socks that are pre-newberrian longtime lurkers, no time posters. Most of them read the board in the hopes that eventually Slave and Paigow will bury the hatchet, have reunion sex and then post about it.
eta: ps: Also for the free gifts. thanks RT!

I read on a thing that rhymes with "spymace" that a certain someone is looking for a headshot. Know anyone willing to give em one?
