For clarification, that was me, after being asked a direct question. Of the two of us, I'm more likely to talk about it than he is.

Apparently (in places that have this), if Aces Full (of 10's or higher) gets beat, there is a set Jackpot that pays out. Where she was, it was a $50k jackpot and she beat Aces Full of Kings with 4 Kings (she had a pair of Ks, other player had pair of A's, board had A and 2 K's). Person who had the bad beat got 1/2 of jackpot, she got 1/4 of jackpot and the rest of the table split the other 1/4.

Anyone ever heard of this before?
Why should the rest of the table get anything?

Uma doesn't do much for me. Great body, but too bug eyed.

Overrated as hottie. Underrated as actress.

He said he was banned. I was giving him a suggestion for an interesting topic.

Yes, and balt understands fully the distinction of running his fingers through my hair while I'm giving him a blow job versus grabbing my head and forcing it in a particular direction while I'm giving him a blow job. That understanding makes for a much, much better blow job.

Helpful advice, but that wasn't my post.

Here's what you should do- give up one sordid detail about RT that she doesn't want people here to know.
We're talking about RT here. While there are plenty of sordid details, I can't really imagine her caring about people knowing. Like, for example, she really likes have her very large, very beautiful, breasts fondled. But I think everyone on the board already knew that.

So, okay, no sex.

Of course, the flip side of the forcing buying an album to get a song equation is that I (probably pretty typically) am unlikely to shell out $10-18 for a single song, but I don't even think about the $1 a song they charge me for a single song. So I'd suspect on average they're losing revenue.
I think they’re selling enough Ipods right now (even though sales have dropped recently) that Apple’s doing OK even if they lose money on the music.

Whats really annoying is that the Ipod charger does not work with the smaller Ipods. You have to buy/use multiple car chargers. That’s just gouging.

We've heard that, but as this board amptly demonstrates, there are few themes that aren't revisited. Ones such as these are vastly preferable to anger-drenched kitchen posts.

Just about all the poker rooms in Los Angeles have this. Usually it's just lose with any aces-full (to 4 of a kind or better). That's a pretty healthy jackpot though, usually in LA it's around 10,000-20,000, depending on how long it's been since it gets hit. The house rakes $1 per hand for the jackpot, and it's a huge money maker for the house.

I've gotten a table share, once. Most often it's when three aces hit the board -- all it takes is one player to have A-goodkicker (kicker must play), and someone else to have a pocket pair.

It's pretty fucking rare. Mazel Tov to your friend.

I guess to make it worth their while to have the game stopped for 2 hours while the casino works out the payouts and gets forms signed. And because it is good for the casino to pay out as many people as possible if they're going to do the jackpot thing - more satisfied customers. I forgot to find out what she tipped the dealer on this. Neither she nor the guy she beat knew anything about this until after they showed their hands and the dealer yelled "Jackpot!"

Uma used to be beautiful, but now she just looks celebrity-weird. And I saw a picture of her in one of the tabloids where her hands looked disturbingly large. She should have surgery to correct this.

No joke, although RT's "timesheet" account missed one session (as my first boss always lectured the junior associates: if you don't write it down as you're doing it, you're always going to lose track).

This sentence is more entertaining if you move the hyphen around a little bit.
