At any rate, this White House has show us that smearing people for political reasons is not necessary a crime. And if that's where you stand your ground, God bless you.
In your world, a "smear" is calling someone to the carpet on their repeated lies, exposing someone's conflict of interests, and showing why someone has a vested interest to lie.

No sir, god bless you!!!

You may want to change this analogy.

You don't seem to understand what it means to call someone to the carpet. It doesn't involve ruining his wife's career, or jeopardizing national security to do it.

And you've never been able to explain this conceit of a conflict of interest. It's downright loopy. You wingers have become convinced that Niger is the African equivalent of Maui, a place where anyone would love to go to hang out on the sand and soak up some sun.

This assumes that (i) her career was ruined and (ii) national security was jeopardized. Since both of these assumptions are patently false, let's move on...

Which conceit? Oh you mean this one : that some non covert desk jockey at CIA sends her out-of-work husband, an anti-Administration guy, on a "fact-finding mission", which facts, when not in line with his own personal politics, are conveniently distorted and omitted upon his return.

The CIA was upset for no good reason. Happens all the time. Hey, CIA personnel are exposed by GOP-leaning columnists all the time.

Niger is not Maui. Repeat after me: Niger is not Maui.

I don't know what you're talking about but it doesn't have anything to do with conflict of interest. This is like Whack-A-Mole -- try to pin you guys down on some absurd detail, and you drop it and move to another one.

Apart from what happened after he went to Niger, is there any reason to think that Wilson was an "anti-Administration guy"? Or is this the Spanky tricky of discrediting someone as biased because they come to a conclusion you disagree with?

And don't tell me he was a Democrat. As Joe Lieberman and Victor Davis Hanson are my witnesses, not all Democrats are "anti-Administration guys".

National security was strengthened after the Plame/Wilson duo left government service.

I second the motion.

Should we vote? Do we have a quorum?
