You misunderstand me. I am taking no position on whether she is delusional or whether or not this is a good or bad thing. I am just saying that to proclaim you are not delusional is a bit dubious becuase, like, if you really are delusional, then, well, you don't know that you are because of the whole delusion thing, and you probably have deluded yourself into thinking you are not delusional, so, like, when you say you are not delusional, well, sure -- it may be true; but how do we know based just on your statement?
Think about it.

I don't think he dined al fresco, but he probably had a beer or two at a bar after they let him out of the hospital.
It was hard to bitch much about running up and down hills for an hour after he told us about the race.

That's awesome!
How many IVs did he get? They are gold for recovery. Gold!
eta: 8:49....maybe I should try Leadville, I can go that long. Flower, wanna race?!?

Wow. I mean that. I would like to do this someday. I think a goal of 8:49:51 is unattainable for me, however. Send my congrats to your unusually-named friend.
eta: Alrighty! It's me vs. Penske. Leadville 2008?

True story:
The night before the race I was at some restaurant, somewhere on the island, with my parents. There were two guys in front of us, one of whom was telling the other a story, which basically amounted to that for Mother's Day earlier that year (the story is occuring in Sept) he got tattooed. An "M" on each ass cheek.
My mother was sort of upset by the mental picture this evoked and couldn't eat, which was good for me, as I ate her pasta. Carbo load indeed!

True story:
Once during a race I saw a guy who took a header going down a mountain pass, at (approx) 55 MPH, die. so I guess the comparison is sort of on point.

True story:
I was out last night with my bf and the partner that I work most closely with, and my bf asked him (apropos of something the partner said):
"Where exactly is Uranus?"
Hilarity ensued.
eta to note that said partner is flaming. nttawwt.
