I may have been more comfortable if this were my initial comment rather than no one mentioning the presence of the elephants in the middle of room. However, I'm not sure I could have said it - they weren't particular nice, as they were patently and unnaturally large and of a round, squashed shape that was not particularly appealling.

Boob jobs are like bad hairdos. The politie thing to do is to ignore them or pretend they're spectacular.

So, what do you say when you see someone for the first time in a couple years and they have obviously and unavoidably enhanced? It's not the kind of enhancement one can avoid missing, and, indeed, absent shades I would assume the eye motion is telling. Do you just say hello and smile, or should one go out of the way to place a compliment?

Unless you know the person really, really well, I don't think there's much you can say other than lying through your teeth and telling her she looks great.
Though if you know any PI attorneys, you might try to work their names into the conversation, in the off chance she's looking to sue the surgeon.

Environment Question
I have recently become a little obsessed with making sure my work area is not bacteria-ridden, after reading an article about bacteria-ridden work spaces. So once a week, I wipe down everything with one of those Clorox disinfecting wipes. Am I harming the environment or creating superbugs by doing this? Note that Clorox disinfecting wipes do not contain triclosan. Thanks in advance.

I knew her well enough, once upon a time, so she'd know I was lying. But, of course, she knew I was uncomfortable as well.
I'm thinking I should have just lied anyways or gone all out and just said she really didn't need to do anything, and was she still with the jerk she did it for - she has a long history of bad decisions concerning men, and I'm sure this is just another one. Of course, she has three beautiful children (by three different men) to show for it, so maybe it's all OK in the end.

I think it does about as much harm to the environment as it does good in getting rid of bacteria.
ETA: Part of a Consumer Reports article on antibacterial cleaners.

wine in a can
I've been wondering where Penske is, and I fear that he hasn't been around because he's discovered wine in a can.

here's what i do. go to a walk in clinic about once every 3 months. You'll have to have 3 or 4 becasue you can't go to any one too often. Tell the doc you have a chest infection. saying you are sneezing up green will help with the meds. Get a Z-pack. If you are taking a Z-pack proactively every few months, the common office bacteria shouldn't hurt you.

ATHF Trailer
I've admitted already that I don't realy "get" Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the show. So now I'll admit that I love the intro to the movie.

I assume that this means the iPhone advertising blitz has worked on you.

Some woman in Dallas showed up with $16K in cash, with the intent of buying out the store and reselling on e-Bay. She paid the kid in the front of the line $800 for his spot, and waltzed in ready to make her fortune on the reseller's market. Hitch: AT&T had a one-per-customer policy to sort of prevent that sort of thing from happening.
Kid ended up with a pretty tricked out iPhone.

Environment Question
I think there is a difference between "antibacterial cleaners" and regular products. Something that says "antibacterial cleaner" on it is an antibacterial cleaner, and usually has something like triclosan in it. This is just bleach (ammonium chloride) on a wipe.
