It's like if an NBA finals game would play 1 period of OT and if still tied decide it on A game of horse.

I kinda like the drama of the PKs. Watching Schweinsteiger go into full blown depression after the Chelsea park-the-bus PK win in Champions League a few years ago is a memory I treasure. He doesn't handle that sort of thing very well.

Would you allow additional substitutions? Because otherwise it could be a war of attrition, and no less random than PKs.

Maybe 3 OTs, which is about 33% longer than a regulation game.

I wouldn't allow additional substitutions. And I don't think it would be as much of a war of attrition, because if you know that you're going to need to score to win, you can't just park the bus and wait the other team out.
It would tend to favor the favorites, because underdogs couldn't park the bus and wait for PKs. They'd have to counterattack more, which would open them up.

Just as an aside, I'd LOVE to see American football with limited substitutions.

and by the way, all bad jokes aside, if FIFA actually voted to approve (or for that matter even considered) a coin flip then the game is in need of help.

FIFA needs serious help, no doubt about it. John Oliver has my proxy.

Other than using some statistical tiebreaker, like most corners/fewest fouls, what's the solution of settling the game on the field? PKs aren't great, but may be the least bad alternative.
I think, however, FIFA should allow two additional substitutes for extra time. That would help open things up, and a better, deeper team would have a greater chance of winning (if your worry about that).

The problem is there are too many players and not enough space. They should play 8 on 8 then 5 on 5.
Anothe option better than penalties would be to decide it on corners. Continue playing until the ball goes out of bounds.
Or maybe they can just have a dance off

Fashion query with a legal context
What's up with this guy's suit?
I have been following this probation scandal trial in MA and the Globe keeps running this same photograph of the main defendant. At first I read his look to be a short guy who compensated by overworking his shoulder muscles. Today I noticed some lines around his pecs that made me think it is all suit padding. Is this a suit style that is common or does this guy have off/odd taste? Or maybe he's wearing a bullet-proof vest?
Does Thurgreed like his ratio?

Judging by this picture, he has a larger upper body. And his suit is too small. And his friends let him skip leg day.
