This year healthy adults pretty much can't get them (unless you are in Congress) but in non-shortage years typically the flu shots are recommended for healthy people too. Is your firm so cheap-ass they don't have on-site free flu vaccines (in non-shortage years)?

I live in Boston. Why the heck do you think I have any interest in the Minnesota/Green Bay game? Providence, Rhode Island gets the Giants game. Portland, Maine gets the Giants game. WHY THE FUCK DOESN'T BOSTON GET THE GIANTS GAME? Bastahds.

No, I can't get the satellite NFL package. I'd only want the Giants games anyway.

Anne
P.S. Does the "sell out rule apply anymore? Why do we only games per Sunday (even when the Patriots are playing late)?

Nope. The firm is generally more than happy to stick us anyway they can. But I have never taken them up on the offer.

It's a conspiracy. Here I am wanting only the Vikings/Packers game, yet I get reruns of MASH.

The sell out rule only means you don't get the local game if it isn't sold out. Even if it is sold out, they won't give you competing games.

Apparently the possibility of watching a different game would tempt you out of buying a ticket to the game that you couldn't buy a ticket for anyway since its sold out.

I don't understand. You live in Boston. Why the heck do you have any interest in the Giants' game?

The Right Will Eat Itself, Part II

Christian school fires Christian principal for answering the "WWJD" question with "have himself flogged in front of teen boys in order to discipline them."

Money quotation: "Then the principal took off his belt, gave it to Brost, and instructed the teacher to 'discipline me like you would discipline your own son,' he recalled."

Mel Gibson got some 'splainin' to do.

Boy, if our principal got whipped every time a boy kissed a girl, there would have been a lot more kissing going on. (Hi, NYD!)

Of course, some might have been tempted to try something more to see when he took it to the next level.

To RT and our other noble admins: what do you guys think of this approach?

My delusional rantings about "The Omen" coming true are, um, coming true.

The lesson we learned from "The Omen II" and "The Final Conflict" is that when a parent sez they really really need to slaughter their child on a consecrated altar, you fucking let them.

New Hampshire is obviously not entirely over its past as a Red State.

Um... is this your way of saying it's my own damn fault for moving out of God's country in Minnesota and into the hedonistic hell that is DC?

If so, you are probably right...

"And the High Chapperal said unto him: Leave my presence, and seek ye the horizon and the sign shall come unto you, and ye shall seek no more.

"And the man turned and sought of the horizon; but the High Chapperal crept up behind him and raised his foot and did deliver a most puissant kick in the man's arse, which smarted much and humiliated the seeker grievously.

Kind of strange. Used to be you always got the Giants game in NE, except when against a Pats home game. Sort of a regional affiliation, because of before the Pats. Guess they must have changed that--so now you get the national game.

The rule is that if your area's team is at home, you get only two games, one on each channel. If on the road, then you get three--two on that week's double-header network. If your team is at home and doesn't sell out, then you still get only two games, but something other than your team's game.

The real curiousity to me is why if the game is on ESPN, which everyone who wants gets, they also put the game on a local station, preempting the usually strong sunday-night progamming. Thanks--the Redskins suck worse than even CBS's sunday night fare.

Given Jimmy's campaigning for Clinton, Gore, and Kerry, I'm not sure that I'd agree with your re line. But I did love the bottom line of the review:
  • It’s been 27 years since “Margaritaville,” and Buffett still lives for the weekends. A few positive moments aside, this CD finds him spiritually lost in a chronic midlife crisis full of bars, women and zero accountability.
