I just downloaded my first song from iTunes. Liz Phair's "Ride," from that 1998 album with the long name that I'll never buy. But I've always liked that song.

This could be dangerous.
Funny. I'm in the process of moving my Itunes folder from my old computer (now on a DVD) to my current, and unless I'm missing something, you need to open every damn song for it to appear in your playlist.

Apple sucks.

You're missing something. I assume you're on a PC? You can import the entire DVD by putting all the songs on a folder on your harddrive, and then hitting "file" on iTunes and then "add folder to library."

No problem. This computer is going to go soon (it took forever for itunes to load and then firefox froze when it did because too much was happening at once) and I'm not looking forward to moving all the playlists to another machine. I'm hoping that all will be well because most everything is on the external harddrive, but you never know.

Night all, see you after jury duty....

Did I really? Hmmmm. You'd think I'd remember doing that. Seeing as how Thrashers Fan was my sock and all.

Or was she?

Anyone who knows me knows I'm much more likely to try to pull off a Lightning Fan or a Blue Jackets Fan thing. But perhaps that's what made it so brilliant.

Hope springs eternal, at least for all those who aren't Bills fans. Still, I think you have a right to be excited. Your Eagles should return to very good-ness. I'm a big fan of looking at records-from-two-years-ago to predict performance. Birds are gonna be tough, and Dallas and the NY Giants are gonna have all sorts of problems.

Come visit! If she goes back to her previous weekly gig at Dante's it could be any time. I'm sure we could convince Ollie to go with us, and maybe even Ultraman and tax_hottie if we ask really nicely.

I am a Luddite, but, if you tell me how, I can provide Phair songs or albums to you. And I will throw in several younger female singer songwriters to boot. You like a couple songs, buy the CD or see the show and everyone has profitted.

Phenomenal link. Appropos of us, I enjoyed this reference:

"Feces:

Revert wars, alleged sock-puppetry, and page protection: should the article on feces include this picture of a large human turd? As of early July 2005, the discussion on this issue alone had reached 12,900 words (go to site to link to pics)."

I also enjoyed that, apparently one of of the debates worth noting was whether Bad Religion's "Suffer" was released in 1977 or 1978. I love the album - all 37 minutes of it - but I cannot imagine caring which month it came out.

Incidently, I am very irritated at having to choose between the New Pornographers and Son Volt. And mildly irritated about having to choose between Los Lobos and The Shins, but since I've seen Los Lobos a gazillion times, the Shins it is. Ben Harper vs. the Flaming Lips is a bit easier, but still annoying.
Hi! I will be interested in your reviews because I've never heard Sparklehorse live.

You'll note that I didn't say I had irrefutable proof of the truth of the matter.
