This assumes the party would not squash any such challenge to Joe. A lot of people in the party seem to think Joe needs to step aside because he's just too old, but not enough to overcome the majority who think he's the only candidate who can beat Trump.

I think the latter are deluded. Almost any candidate beats Trump. Reason being, as in 2020, Trump runs against himself. (And there appears to be a serious possibility of Trump being found guilty in GA post-election. Do people presume he'd run the country while on probation? Kinda odd to have to ask GA Dept of Corrections for permission to attend the G7, no?)

Think the ship has sailed for this cycle, but we've got a decent list of contenders on the D side, including her, for the next one. If there is a next one.

Maybe, but when the incumbent is seen as having been pretty successful and, like last time, a compromise between the various factions within the party, it feels like a big risk to switch horses. Potentially at considerable personal political cost.

If you come for the king, you best not miss.

The over/under on Trump's weight at his booking is being offered at 273.5 pounds. I'm actually thinking under.

Suckers bet. You gotta figure he'd be carrying some Twinkies or doughnuts or something on him in case he has to stay there for awhile.

I've seen him look worse, but 215 is hard to believe.

I think it's his drivers license weight, from the last time he had a license.

So maybe sometime in the 80s or 90s? I cannot recall if I've ever heard of him driving anything other than a golf cart.

And from AbbaKiss posting elsewhere, “when did body shaming become okay?”

I get why people want Trump to have to submit to the same rituals that other criminal defendants must go through, because that is kinda the point, but I do get so tired of the people calling him fat and orange.
