I said Mia Farrow. But I think she is as close to Audrey Hepburn as I am to Cher.

I had hot chocolate with rum and serrano peppers last week. Also unusual, but I really liked it.

Except that they are all slender. Except for Darryl Hannah. How the hell did she get in there? Eyes too close together, dumb vapid look on her face all the time - shitty actress. She doesn't even fit in with the rest.

Nerd update
I may have nearly run over a jawa at 10:03 last night driving to get in line for a 12:01 show, but at least I went to the right theater.
This is the situation as of last night at the Chinese Mann.
Favorite part:

In a sign of good will George Lucas offered to send some kind of a freaking battalion of Storm Troopers over to the line to escort the waiters over to the Arclight for the opening. Like a nerd parade. He wasn't even going to charge them or require them to hold up NetFlix logos. And... they said no. They said he could take his escort and shove it. How totally un-fan-like. The thing is, I think some of the linesters wanted the escort, in fact it was their wet dream, but the other nerds killed it for them. Right now the nerds are divided into three groups. Lets look at those.

Nerds who are going to Arclight. We'll call these guys the smart ones since everyone knows Arclight is quite possibly the best theater ever built. These are the people who really want to see the movie the best way it can possibly be seen. This is not an opinion, it's documented fact. So step off.
Nerds who are going to the Vista. We'll call these the guys the grumpy ones. These are the ones who are blaming Arclight for Grauman's not showing Episode III, as if there's any connection and refuse to accept that Grauman's lost the movie all on their own. You can recognize these guys by their big frowns - however they still want to see the movie.
And finally, and these are really the standouts here - the nerds who are not leaving and will be picketing or something in front of of the Chinese to make sure everyone knows how angry and nerdy they are. They are the ones who don't give a crap about the movie and just want to stomp around and complain about junk. I don't even know what to call this group... except SELLOUTS! Because now, on the last day, they are caving in and joining group #1. Some of them anyway. And now they are letting the Storm Troopers escort them. How shocking. That is from their protest site.
Me? I'm going to see it next week at Arclight when there's no crowds, and no drama.
|
This is one of the funniest protests I've ever heard of.

According to a friend who works on Hollywood Blvd and has a view of Mann's from his window, a fair number of the Mann's nerds did make the trek down Hollywood Blvd to Arclight with the gang of Stormtroopers and Darth Vader escort. Sadly (or not) this was not the weirdest thing going on on Hollywood Blvd yesterday afternoon.

Did Vader stop for a half and half along the way?

The safest place to put a restless tongue is your drink.

Sebby, my boy, there is a certain segment of the chick population that loves Audrey from repeated viewings of "Sabrina," "Roman Holiday," and "Breakfast at Tiffanys." Being compared to her is a good thing for them, and could lead to bonus points that take the Nigels of the world into The Promised Land.

Some folks like Jar Jar Binks.... She's cute, no doubt about it. But is it double cheddar smothered in melted swiss to tell a 30ish woman she reminds you of AH? Yep. It smacks of a line pulled from a 1975 Playboy Advisor column, right next to the bit about how jazz gets women all hot and bothered.
Don't believe me? Check August 1975. In the same box with your pet rock and copy of Jonathon Livingston Seagull.
I would love to date again for a gag. I'd talk endlessly about Dr. Who, or how the Sleastacks from land of the Lost were metaphors for the UN. That'd be a great show. See how long it takes for a normal looking, seemingly nice guy to freak the shit out of a cute chick.

Cher = Horrible dresser freak
Paigow = Horrible dresser freak.
So you're saying Gwink resembles AH?

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
