You're sort of forgetting about the boat anchor, Ramirez, when you count it that way.
Winfield sure helped 'em to a lot of world championships, though.

Courtney Love death watch
fuck you. My mom lost me at EJ Korvettes when I was 5, and I walked home. she was looking at linens. For sure you can give Courtney a break for looking at rock stars.
I've listened to questions about my mom's gender, and her sexual habits in good humor, but I'll be damned if I'll let you question her child rearing.
As to Courtney behavior otherwise, i give you this:
Quote:
Love, refusing to be upstaged by the likes of scandalicious fellow partygoer Paris Hilton, "engineered her own wardrobe malfunction, pulling down the top of her silk slip dress and flashing her right breast."

Any girl who flashes titty at a party is a-ok in my book. the Judge needs to be a little more understanding, that's all.

Oh yes, I'll take a discounted Maddox and Travis Lee too.

That's just Boras yapping. Steinbrenner couldn't pay Maddux enough to play in (a) NYC and (b) the American League.
This is why I hate agents. While we know that all pro athletes are greedy mf-ers, their SOLE motivation is not $$ (unless you're A-Rod circa 2000). Maybe 90% cash and 10% winning. The agent's job should be to maximize utility, not $$. Boras maximizes ONLY $$.

Yeah, but the yankees just saved Boras's ass from the A-Rod/Rangers deal, and now he'll sign up another two dozen players who figure that however large a contract he gets them, he can also find a sucker to take it on down the road.

It is a good book. The movie, however, is unwatchable. And Penelope is on my laminated list.

How much is too much?
Okay. So they are doing some remodeling around my office. Until yesterday, they have managed to perform most of the work after 5:00 PM, but as of yesterday, I have had to put up with the symphony of the clanging of metal wall studs and the sound of a sawzall loud enough that it's shaking my fillings.
How long should I wait before I walk out?

If you haven't read John Fante's Ask the Dust or Charles Bukowski's Post Office you might want to consider. Both sort of social commentary, but better tuned to what I know of your present life than Vonnegut (that's high school Coltrane).

You're right. Water pressure is irrelevant. I would recommend anything with power assist, or some similar mechanism. The non-power ones just don't cut it because of the low-flow regs. I would talk to several plumbers, about what they've installed, and also several fixture supply places.

I think Sebby would mostly agree that I am mainly correct when I say that that sounds like a party that I'd like to attend.

Real lawyers relish the opportunity to work through that sort of thing. Its good practice for the "document inspection in the metal warehouse in August with the heaters running, and a guy clanging a wrench on the outside wall" type legal duty.
They're expanding here. First day the dumber guy, demolition show up. They start out quiet enough, but they're smoking. Office manager explains its a no smoking building- they keep smoking. Call landlord and general contractor, who both call and order these guys to stop smoking. This was about 9:30.
The demolition noise level increased significantly after that.

Is this "Club" you speak of a part of the Junior Great Books series? Can I order it through my "Highlights" magazine?
