to the newbers- this is a way to claim mid-old-school cred. You can't "just change the name" here, but you could on infirm.

This sock is beneath you.

Well, it was beneath you in your heyday . . . perhaps retirement has made you soft.

Edited to specify: at least pick someone from the right entourage for your avatar.

Boots

I notice every professional gal has boots that stop about an inch or two under the knee, in black leather, with a spikey kind of heel and pretty pointy toes. Worn with the waffle-weavish skirt that stops at the knee. My boots are more round in the front and the heels are less spikey/more chunky (though they're over 3 inches) b/c I really walk a lot. But tonight I suffered badly in the frigid temps walking 10 city blocks. Is there ANY fashionable dress boot that has no heel? I fondly remember my flat boots in the 80's (though they were all suede then) and how comfy there were. The problem for me is the downward thrust of the foot when the back is raised up b/c of the heel. Suggestions?

(Yes, I edited to add "thrust" to make the question more palatable.)

Could someone explain the presence of diamonds under the crystal on the face of the watch?

Are those fixed, or do they move? They seem pretty random -- not to mention busy.

Sure. This watch is from Chopard's "Happy Diamonds" collection. The diamonds under the crystal do in fact move. Because they are so happy. Like I would be, if someone would buy me a Chopard Happy Diamonds watch.... Just not the one that casey posted.
