As for the "was a stripper and still identified straight" analysis, which is admittedly persuasive, I can only say that he's from Virginia. His parents probably didn't even know he was a stripper until they saw this show, and they're probably under six feet of clay from the shock. Those good ol' boys take a long time to come out, but when they do, they can out-gay Harvey Fierstein.

Q. What do you think about Anna Kournikova doing reporting for a TV network here?

MARK PHILIPPOUSSIS: I don't know to be quite honest. Never gave it much thought.
He was far more diplomatic than that question deserved. How about "well, I assume she'll be as talentless a sportscaster as she was a tennis player, but she sure is bangable!"

Wow. Though I remember watching that episode, I've not had the opportunity to make the degree of investment in detail that others apparently have. I've gotta get my TiVo set up.

this is tangential, but the philosophy of the only male strippers I have known well (only two, but I still say it's somewhat representative) is, as explained to me one night: "well, mostly we like men, but if the girl is hot enough, we'll make an exception."

Which is pretty much my philosophy. Mostly I like myself, but if the guy is hot enough, and/or plays or has played hockey professionally, or, if I am desparate enough, breathes, then I'll make an exception.

I doubt that you should assume that this means that your life is woefully lacking in meaning and substance.

In fact, . . . .

In the future they'll probably do QE episodes on "Pop Up Video." {Carson extending brown-tipped finger toward Thom's eager, waiting mouth.} {Bloop.} "The sexual fetish of eating feces is called coprophagia." {Bloop.} "Only 15% of gay men regularly engage in anal-oral copulation." {Bloop.} "That compares to 15% of straight men." {Bloop.} {Movie still of Baby Ruth scene from "Caddyshack."}

I just loved the passive aggressive finesse of "I havent given it much thought". Thats like asking me if I think Bilmore would be a great law librarian. Yeah, we are both lawyers, but we pracitce in different areas. Law librarians do something related to lawyering but it isnt. why would I possibly remotely give a fuck? bc we both post a lot?

I read the whole story. WHen he has kids, they will not be given tennis rackets bc the whole lifestyle is too materialistic. its all aobut sunny skies and the ocean and surfing. I just heart him.

As for the "was a stripper and still identified straight" analysis, which is admittedly persuasive, I can only say that he's from Virginia. I discount the "loves" because it was product placement. He was just being a good little shill.

Do straight boys really not cry? Hm. I know a lot more gay guys than I thought, and a surprising number are married. Who woulda thunk??

RT or some other native Texan or other westerner may correct me on this, but his pre-makeover attire did not seem particularly "cowboy." Plus he's from Virginia, where they maybe have horse trainers or whatever. Or pig farmers, but I bet they wear smocks. Jeans + boots and possession of a cowboy hat do not a cowboy make.

The Asian gf thing I think has more to do with the fact that many Asian women have very little curviness going on (hips, boobs, etc.). If I am right about this, Armenian isn't Asian. You could never mistake the gf for a boy, even if he were anally fucking her from the back and all her hair was under a hat.

The jobs I put down to flaky. You seem to attach lots of significance to his not saying why he dropped out of the SEALS, and little or no significance to the fact that he didn't say why he quit any of his jobs.

If hair gel and tighty-whities alone are gayness . . . well, just ponder that one. Particularly if you assume that some people are 5-10 years behind in fashion.

Vincent T. 6%
Andrew L. 9%
John V. 12%

It figures John B. is winning by such a large margin, because the demographics compel that a closeted gay man will win as Best SG. However, I am taken aback that Adam Z. is doing so poorly compared to Tom K. and Andrew L. I mean, this is so obviously a popularity contest. Tom K. was dumber than a box of Ahmad Rashads (apologies to Less).
Good poll. But who knows what these guys names are? I can't remember them. Since I'm bored out of my frickin' mind, I'll post the before and afters of each.

I vote for John B. He really seemed to enjoy the experience and I think they did a good job with him. He seemed like a nice guy.

They should do an opposite show where the Fab 5 get made over into typical beer swilling heteros. That would be funny.

As it happens, I was making a snarky comment offboard about the flowcharts and Venn diagrams of QESG episodes that you must keep on the walls of your office.

I will now have to amend that comment, though only slightly.

Ho-wear at Work

WTF is with the white crocheted mini-mini-skirted halter dress (no lining, loose crochet, cheerful turquoise crochet on the nips and crotch), fire-engine-red ass-length hair extensions, and gold platforms for work?

I'm all for office casual. But this woman's idea of 'office' was clearly fleabitten-pullout-couch-in-her-pimp's-livingroom.
