That may be true Ms. Anne Elke, but as Bob Dylan once sang, the times they are changin’.
Former New Jersey Governor, and EPA Administrator, the lovely Christie Todd Whitman recently remarked that cleaned up Superfund sights in New Jersey are testaments to the positive changes that can be accomplished when a great State and its wonderful citizens come together for an important cause. In fact, more than a dozen Superfund sites across New Jersey have been fully cleaned up and are now available to the citizens of New Jersey and our guests (other than NFH and p_c) for enjoyable use.
A couple of examples are:
The Bridgewater Township Superfund site, where New Jersey strong armed American Cyanamid to clean up its polluting chemical manufacturing wastes. This formerly poisoned area is now in the process, through the efforts of the State, the Township, the EPA, other local governments, and a private company, of being redeveloped into a minor league baseball stadium and a 700,000-square foot multi-use complex.
The Superfund site at Alcyon Park in Mantua Township, New Jersey has gone from a shithole of dumped checmical waste to a recreational wonderland of six playing fields, a nature hiking trail, a paved and lighted parking facility, a recreational building, clean and usable streams, marshes, and lovely, picturesque (and quite potable I might add) Alcyon Lake.
These are just a few of the many success stories in New Jersey, in our battle to reclaim our natural resources. Don’t sell us short Ms. Anne Elke, after all, New Jersey and you, perfectly cleaned up together!

Mtv reality update
Anyone else watch Camp Jim yet? Reality show featuring cheerleading camp run by obnoxious male cheerleader... Tonight's episode involves slacker girl from Phoenix whose aunt/uncle were cheerleaders and had their wedding photo taken in a cheerleading pose. Anyway, check it. If you want to.
It sure picked up my spirits and I'm feeling pretty low right now about the fact that the ferry captain is actually alive.
Go Jim! Work it!

I said that the penalty for illiterates is expulsion to their choice of Staten Island, Long Island or Kentucky. Now stop trying to duplicituously add spelling areas to our press releases and be gone, preferably with a banjo on your knee to Kentucky.

The literacy problem is worse than you've described, NJ. Maybe you should rename yourself "Kentucky."

To be fair, NJ said it was trying to improve literacy rates. It never claimed to be perfect. I mean, we all know NJ is not perfect. Just visit Atlantic City sometime if you don't believe me.

Don’t be down NCS, join us this weekend in Millville, NJ for South Jersey's largest Fall Festival Extravanganza, the Pumpkin Show at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds.
There will be non-stop entertainment including but not limited to the famous Little Miss Pumpkin Show, a Halloween costume contest (gussy up for that one!), a 4-H horse and pony show, plenty of New Jersey’s own great food and local specialties, the largest pumpkin grown in New Jersey in 2003 on display all weekend along with its cousin, the biggest pumpkin pie in the triState area and much much much more.
So bring the kids, grab the lover and come on out!
New Jersey
Ps: Did I mention over 75 Scarecrows will be there to help keep pretermitted child away!

Nice try, but you are not backdooring your way into New Jersey dearie. We are on to your shenanigans. Now stay out of our way or we will clean up the Superfund site that is you!

Spelling areas? I think, in this case, there's a word-choice area, in addition to a spelling area.*
* Perhaps area in NJ-ese means error in English. Do you have the latest NJ-to-English dictionary?

I'll ask fringey if she is available for the trip. She really doesn't like to travel out of state much though. Oh, and also, I might be dead then (keep those PMs coming!).

Exactly. The fair! NCS, we would be so glad if you could join us in Millville, NJ for South Jersey's largest Fall Fair, the Pumpkin Show at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds.
Rememebr you will be able to shop for a new home, get great gardening tips, learn to build a pool or a pond (pond would be good for p_c), and have aisles of products and services available for your purchasing pleasure.
Additionally there will be craftsmen and artists lining the midway with many handcrafted works of art.
And don't forget, free shopping bags to all fairgoers!

Too bad. I'd definitely be there if there were isles of products and services. Aisles, not so much. I'm sure your state residents will have a wonderful time though.

Just let her know that there will be lots and lots of great food, including New Jersey's own home grown specialty items like fresh baked pumpkin pies, funnel cakes, pork hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, deep fried twinkies, and so much more to choose from, even Fringie's bottomless pit can be filled up.
