I need a new pair of shoes to go with office attire less formal than a suit. And they've got to lace up (for medical reasons). I am completely uninspired to go shopping, so perhaps someone here can tell me what I should buy.

Landis is what, 30' back now? If Landis hangs some time on Sastre, he should be in yellow by the end of the TT, then.

I'm not offering advice on styles, but this site has a very large selection:

Brown/black loafers from http://www.aldoshoes.com/store.cfm?CKEY=US

ETA: they're relatively cheap, which is good for me, since I seem to destroy shoes very quickly, regardless of quality...

Yes, 30 behind pereiro, and 18 behind sastre. So the TT should be decisive. The top three in Paris could, even after the TT, all be within 1/2 a minute of each other.

NBA players travel on special planes and own special cars all built in view of the fact they're are too tall, BUT hotels they stay in aren't tailored to their height so they get planter's from their feet hanging over the bed.

Allen-Edmonds makes these. They aren't cheap but they last forever and you can find them on sale if you look around.

"Everyone needs a car... even the very tall. This is the largest car I could afford. Look everyone, its that boy that laughs at everyone. Let's laugh at him! Wave to them! Now blow them kisses!"

I was making a serious point. If Thurgreed didn't have to sleep on the floor when he traveled I bet he'd be less grumpy.

These dudes are coddled pussies. With the Plantar's F, you just take an advil and suck it up.

[true story][outable alert] Once, suffering really bad Plantar's F, I spotted Hank's wife 600M, and still took her down in the 1500, with 150 to go. Take that MMMM3587, whereever you are! [/outable alert][/true story]

I don't think that causes plantars, but perhaps my podiatrist misinformed me.
