Still unclear why club thinks embryos have the right to enslave other people to pay for their freezer. Maybe it's in The Fountainhead somewhere.

Funny. I haven't really settled on a position on this, but I tend to side with science/progress.

I think we should pull together a collection to deposit you, together with 25 other declared libertarians, on a remote island. Sort of a "Libertarian Survivor."
Sure, the theory posits that civil society will emerge with an efficient, functioning set of mutually beneficial contractual relationships, but my $20 says that within a week, you'll be a drone commanded to build coconut monuments to Bob, God of Rain.

Sounds rough, but the legalized marijuana should make up for it.

Parallel question:
suppose we all got thrown in prison, what would happen. I think we all agree Sidd would be the first to be brutally raped, first because he's cutest and tiny, but mostly because of the lip he'd give "I show you who's bad motherfucker."
No, there not much question about that. But who would be running things? Who would have control of the black-market?
I think Larry. He seems smart.

At least Ty thinks my fantasies are mainstream enough that he doesn't have to delete them. Some others may wish their fantasies were the same.

Irrelevant. Spartan ends up in the "special" wing, and as a result interactions with the rest of the population would be severely curtailed.

Is "curtailed" a euphemism? 'Cuz, if it is, I think Hank already called out that role for Sidd.

Thanks, but I'd be more like the fat guy who lost it during Andy Dufresne's first night in Shawshank.

Hank, you da man!
My theory about riding the Kerry-as-Vietnam-era-baby-killer image to sure electoral victory is gaining steam:
Quote:
Last week, when Kerry came out and said he would've authorized the Iraq invasion even knowing there were no WMDs, I thought it was a shockingly stupid error. No longer. It's all part of the seemingly successful plan to paint Kerry as a born killer, somebody who would not only invade Iraq or any other country for no reason at all, but a guy who would insist on going himself for a few Glory Kills. And, holding life & death in his hands, he says he'll send other nations' troops to be slaughtered in Iraq while choosing to give life to some of the U.S. troops. That stiff demeanor and long, cruel face is beginning to look like something else entirely. It's beginning to look like a God of War, a total monster who kills for the sheer pleasure of it, and saves lives for the pure enjoyment of watching a puny human whimper below him in quivering gratitude, giving tribute, sacrificing animals and the first born to His power and whims.
|
And Hank, to think we have you to thank. Though I'm sure it'll cause some controversy (or at least confusion) in a new Kerry Administration, we'll be putting you in for a plum political appointee position. Maybe Special Liaison to the French Ambassador or something.
