Don't tell me you're one of those half decaf fruits... Caffeine is good for you. I don't trust people who don't like caffeine or say they can't handle it. What sort of person can't handle a motherfcuking coffee?*

They know that unions here are lazy useless fucks, so they have an obligation to hire other workers. If USAir can't get some lazy asses to lug youyr bags from the jet, they shouldn't offer the flight in the first place. Why would I want an on time landing where I'mn just going to wait an hour and half for my bags in the airport?

you check bags? my wife and I were a mixed marriage on the check bags issue. She was all for checking. I finally convinced her to give it up the last time we flew.
We were leaving LaGuardia the morning after weather had cancelled all flights. The place was a nightmare of lines of angry people waiting to see ticket agents. and the lines didn't move because no one had a problem that had a solution- there were only a few seats on a few flights and most of these guys weren't going anywhere. Anyway, there was no way to check a bag without a long wait.
Since we had packed for carry on only, we walked straight to eticket and then cooled off in the World Club with a refreshing cocktail. She finally had to admit I was right.
I did keep an eye on the door fearing the rabble might kick it down after a night's sleep in the concourse. Good thing for increased security. The Russian revolution started sort of like that.

The sort of person that is me, I guess. I don't like caffeine. I get addicted to it too easily. One tiny cup and I get a raging headache if I don't have one the next day. It's no fun. So I gave it up entirely.

Air travel sucks, regardless of the airline. USAir is no suckier than the rest.

Fly into Philly. Stare the pear shaped desk mongoloid in the eye as he fumbles through his list of explanations for why he can't locate your luggage, while out of the corner of your eye, you can see four TSA corpses sharing smokes outside with two baggage handlers.
"Well, why don't those people get my luggage?"
"They're on break."
"But I've been in line here for half an hour. Isn't their break over?"
"Ummmm, I don't know..."

I always thought breakfast blend would be stronger tasting, and certainly not low caf.

You haven't conditioned yourself properly. The more you drink, the more you become accustomed to it, and the less side effects you'll get. I don't get headaches because I'm never without it. Its a cheap easy legal high. Why not?
I fought the addiction because some asshole medical person told me it was bad for you. Then I spoke to a friend who did cardiology and he laughed and said that was total myth.

You have to check bags when you fly with suits for a wedding. Fuuuuuuuuck LaGuardia. And fuuuuuck JFK. I haven't flown out of any place but Newark in years. I will go to newark to avoid Philly if I can.

I've had caffeine since I was about 1 year old. I think I may know a little better than you how my body deals with it. But thanks for the tips. I'll stick to beer and marijuana (in Canada) for the legal high for now.

Wear the suit and take it off at the hotel. Vanity is not worth the lost time.
Philly is a horrible airport and actually gets worse once you leave the terminal. Car rentals seem like endless lines and the drive away from the airport is only rivaled by Charles De Gaulle for traffic jams.
We were estranged from the in-laws for years. Finally we were going to go and make up. In-laws have a 5 o'clock reservation (old people dinnertime) and we land at 2 so its all okay. then 1.5 hours to rent a car and then go sit on a freeway for 2 more hours. all the more fun was that the big fight that led to the etrangement started from our being late! It was a fun time.
the next day I did get a Pat's with mushrooms.

I'm with you, Sebby -- caffeine is a wonderful thing.
"Breakfast Blend" is the usual non-flavored, caffeinated served as the coffee of the day in the mornings at the Starbucks around here. (I prefer the Fair Trade Blend, because I am a limousine liberal, but they don't make it too often for some reason).
From the starbucks web page ( http://www.starbucks.com/ourcoffees/...oduct%5Fid=BRK): - Starbucks Breakfast Blend
Mild and flavorful, this light-bodied blend makes a bright first impression and is a wonderful cup to begin your day. This blend of Latin American coffees offers a milder flavor than our House Blend, due both to the selected coffees and the slightly lighter roast.

Have you ever tried to work really baked? I did the wake and bake a few times during those weeks after you give notice and you do nothing but fuck around and write exit memos. Then once I was asked to handle an emergency matter for someone. It sucked to try to think about legal crap. I was lost, and the ultimate product was shyte.

Yes. Once. It was not pretty, because I got super-paranoid and starting re-reading everything a zillion times. Never again.

I think the medical establishment has pretty much backed off the caffeine is generally bad for you view. The pregnancy books still make a big deal out of it, even though there is no evidence that moderate caffeine exposure during pregnancy is bad for the baby. This is because pregnancy books generally suck -- which is why I don't read them anymore. Most experts now recommend now that you don't overdo it because it can overstimulate you and make you anxious, if you're susceptible to that, which is bad for the baby.
I'm a bit more sensitive to caffeine now than usually -- my heart gets a little racy -- so I've cut it by about half. But I tried to kick it for the first month, and I knew there was no way I was going to make it, so I found research to support my need for the caffeine.
Also, if you consume a lot during pregnancy, the baby can theoretically suffer withdrawal after birth. This would make the kid fit right in with my family. There's not a one of us who can muster intelligent thought or civil discourse without that morning cup.
And yeah, I know, I'm boring. Snooooooooooooooze.

Ginger or Mary Ann
A titillating TV spot promoting the cable network’s second season of reality series “The Real Gilligan’s Island” has become a lightning rod online.
The 30-second advertisement features busty actresses depicting “Island” icons Mary Ann and Ginger engaged in an acrobatic food fight. The women writhe around in coconut cream pies before getting doused with water in the spot, which winks at both the original “Island” and the notorious Miller Lite “Catfight” commercial from 2003.
Anyone see it? Is it as bad as the Paris Hilton Carl's Jr. ad?
