Meet the Mets

I watched the Mets/Dodgers game today, mostly because of Pedro. Does Willie Randolph always do crap like sac. bunting with his #3 hitter? He sacrificed 4 times, and tried to do it a 5th with Reyes, before he got to 2 strikes and hit his triple, which won them the game. But seriously, what's his deal?

Actually, No. For the 1st 1/2 of a year, he let them hit a way and they batted .0000000000000000000111 with runners in scoring position.

Now he took stuff into his own hands and made up 7 games in the standings. Small ball works, especially with a speedy team with the #1 base stealer in the NL, and expecially at a cavernous park like Shea.

With lips full of passion
And coffee in bed
Coffee-themed cheating songs rawk.

Hustle & Flow

Good news and bad news. Hustle & Flow did not make $10.5M this weekend (somewhere between 8M-9M). So what's the good news? After posting here, and doing some more research, I cancelled my large bet and bet the under for a small amount.

In other movie box office news -- the Island just edged out Bad News Bears for third place (12.5M-11.5M). The problem is that the Island cost about $90M more to make. Michael Bay seems to have lost his touch a bit, no? Perhaps it was Jerry Bruckheimer who was the smarty all along. I'll bet he's laughing his ass off (Michael Bay dissed him a bit by taking this project without talking to Bruckheimer about it, according to Entertainment Weekly).

So thanks to the Mets comeback yesterday, and my good sense about Hustle & Flow, this weekend was pretty profitable. Of course, the baby due next week probably puts me in the hole to the tune of about $800k. Sigh.

Apparently. Perhaps it's my recollection of the video.

However, it is clear that Lyle is talking about infidelity. And coffee. And flour tortillas.

And eggs. And babies. Well, a baby. Well, "baby." That is a really enjoyable album. One I haven't listened to in ages and ages.

I hate when videos lie like that.

You are back in form!

It also angered pro-voting groups with a shirt that said, “Voting is for Old People.”
My wife has an urban outfitters T-shirt that has a picture of the liberty bell on it with the caption "Come to Philly for the crack."

I spent about half of my day e-mailing with people of various levels of flakatude, and then had to go meet the lucky winner with the tickets outside of my building. 2 hours of billable time lost.
You only work 4 hours a day?
