Oh, and NotBob, if you search "barrel in mouth, toe on trigger" I think you'll find what you're looking for.
Yeah, well, I used to think that, definitionally,* one could not have more than one "favorite."

* I don't know if this is a word, and I just don't care.

You can only ever have one alternative. The rest are choices. This was told to me by my pedantic eye doctor when I was younger and I was told that my "choices" were glasses or contacts. It has stuck with me.

He is the same doctor who pointed out some esoteric grammar point to my dad when he was diagnosing my dad with glaucoma and telling him how bad his eyes were and it was just going to get worse. He has a fabulous bedside manner, as it were. British. nttawwt.

If that were the case, I'd be out of business.

Whoa ho ho. "Crackberry"! Hysterical!!!! I've never heard that one before. Punny punny stuff!

Coltrane, you ever heard "crackberry" before? I know you like a good pun every now and then. Maybe try to work it into your everyday conversations???

don't sweat it, ncs is just a little sensitive about her blackberry usage- it's not an addicstion- she manages to keep her career going.

you're lucky you weren't near her the day the Judge granted the injunction in the patent lawsuit against RIM.

I think patentparanyc's point was to reassure rp that if she simply keeps using "definitionally" it will become part of our language and in dictionarys. rp can take control and be a lexiographer instead of worrying about what is now a word.

Plus, I'm cheap. I don't own a single suit that retails for over $800 (and I sure as shit didn't pay that much). Are more expensive shoes/suits nicer? Of course they are. But they're not exponentially nicer. The only people who are really going to notice that I'm wearing a $500 suit instead of a $1000 suit are people whose opinions I could care less about. If they want to look down their noses at me, go for it. I'd rather spend my money on other things, like traveling.
Agreed. But I sprung for two nice pairs of shoes recently because my "nice" shoes were jacked and I couldn't wear the piece of shit, falling apart Kenneth Coles* anymore.

I have to say that paying the extra may not really be worth it, but damn the one pair of maglis is fucking comfortable. Soft leather and the right shape. The really nice pair I use primarily for suits need/ed to be broken in and they are decidedly unfuckingcomfortable. But they look better than any shoes I've ever owned.

TM

*The absolute worst-made shoes I've ever owned. Ever. The soles cracked down the middle (on both shoes!) and started coming off after 6 weeks. I sent them back, thinking they'd send me new shoes and they just slapped some glue on them and shipped 'em right back. I will never buy anything from that piece of shit store again.
