nycfashiongirl

This is from an article at Salon.com. I think that you can see it for free, but you might have to click through an ad for Salon premium. And I would post the URL to it, but I think that the only URL I can get for it has all my Salon Premium subscription[1]information, and I don't want you vultures to figure out that I am actually one of atticus's socks.

www.salon.com

"The woman, identified in court papers only as "nycfashiongirl," is contesting a copyright subpoena served by the music industry on her Internet provider, Verizon Internet Services Inc., to turn over her name and address in preparation for filing a lawsuit.

She is the first to resist such a subpoena.

The RIAA, which has served more than 1,300 such subpoenas, accuses "nycfashiongirl" of offering more than 900 songs by the Rolling Stones, U2, Michael Jackson and others for illegal download, along with 200 other computer files that included at least one full-length movie, "Pretty Woman.""

Sounds like one of ours.

[1] My first foray into pay-for-content. I'm pretty happy with it. I just got sick of clicking the same annoying ads everyday.

Question. Does Aaron get to keep the one million she originally pocketed, or is this double or nothng? IF its the latter, she is a fucking moron. Her odds would be better if she had invested in tech stocks. BUt I admire the confidence. Her girlfriends must tell her she is pretty a lot.

Its good to be right. And to only go for straight guys. The three guys on the show I would do were all straight. May Wes and James find happiness and a better plastic surgeon to tighten up those Tori nostrils.

CAN YOU DIG IT?

CAAAAAAAAAAAAN YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU DIG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?

Caruso? WHy is he mentioneed in this list of actors who are enlisted to show in part why the moive is great? He is the slave of the fb. A rising star once, but let success go to his head and is now a has been if he ever was.

ditto Petals.

Reminds me of another very underated movie: King of New York -- Walken, Snipes, Fishbourne, Caruso. Great Flick

I haven't watched it yet, but having read this, I doubt I will. The only reason I hoped F was gay was to make the show less stereotypic. How disappointing.

Now I feel bad. Except that I did the spoiler space. I only watched the last ten minutes and can say

that the only interesting part was when Franklin had to admit he was indeed the straight and applogize. he was on the spot for sure. and james said the only reason he didnt pick him was bc he was the straight. poor wes. like he is gonna want to hear that. then we had to hear the whole bullshit about the real reason frankiln, like sean, did the show, to change the stereotypes of gay men. of course, all the effort is washed away by Carson and crew coming on after the show.

and franklin said come out of the closet again.

I'm not leaving spoiler space for this because I don't think the show can be spoiled. Executive decision here (it's like spoiler space for Trading Spaces - eh?). Anyway, last night's show was nothing great. There is some possibility that this will be played out soon because there are only so many tips they can give out... Carson dressed that guy horribly. Thom's rooms were less inspired than usual. Making a guy shuck oysters is cruel. And who really thought that he would be able to dance after one lame lesson that involved sliding across the floor on his knees? Really.

Watched the reunion show. Ho hum. Vic is still the coolest person they've had on that show. Rob's hair, while better, was still whacked.

I called it in the first week with Wes. Brian seemed like the most genuine mate though. And his dazzling white teeth...

4. Joe Schmoe

This show is just mean. Kind of funny though. Interesting that it is on Spike TV and all the women are gorgeous. Coincidence? It think not.

Way Too Funny

The owners of Kazaa (the P2P software for downloading music) are going after people for copying, and infringing upon, Kazaa.

The only really funny parts are their spoofs of reality tv bits, such as the contests and ceremonies. Joe is dumb, but he also may be the only genuinely nice person to appear on any reality tv series. The producers should recognize this and twist it to their advantage, but I am not hopeful they will do so because they seem to intent on staging ideas they have already worked out.

I also thought that none of the actors were particularly convincing in their roles. The bitch wasn't bitchy enough, the prick wasn't prickly enough, etc. And none of them appeared skanky enough for reality tv. There may have been the odd crab or random case of chlamydia, but they generally looked too STD-free for reality tv (this may become my personal motto).

The only actor who was convincing was the cuban gay man. Otherwise they all totally sucked. The virgin and the military guy in particular. Did they eliminate anyone last night or will the first one be next week? I switched over to Boy Meets Boy at some point and I don't know how long the show was supposed to last...

Jai, the culture guy, is utterly useless. And Kyan's pleasant, but how many times do we need to hear him say which direction to shave and put in the hair product? Thom really likes to paint stripes on walls, which is nice enough I suppose. Carson wears hideous cartoon clothes so I don't see trusting him to dress anyone else.

Ted, however, is the man. He dresses the best of all of them, and at least he gave the guy that steel glove so he wouldn't kill himself shucking.

I agree with you. And this brings us to Old School. What the fuck? This movie would have been about 10,000 times better if there were more than two topless women* (who appeared in the same 2 second scene and were both built exactly the same -- think: Tara Reid). If any movie was made for nudity, this was it (well, this and Tomcats which had NO NUDITY WHATSOEVER). What a waste of time.

*I don't even count the gang-bang scene (at the beginning) that wasn't.

Has anyone been watching this? I did last night and wondered why the actors looked familiar (they're Canadian). Anyway, it was cheesy, but is it true the average life span of a football player is 58? that seems outrageous.
