That is not what I said. I said expectations of one party in a commercial transaction are not right or wrong. Inherently an expectation is subjective to the holder.

Nope. Penske and I noted that it was also a sin for the soldiers who did the actual killing. And the cop analogy doesn't work here. Bush is actually Commander in Chief. We don't give the cops their marching orders.

The second amendment is not a deterrent unless you are willing to use the gun. The gun has no purpose other than to kill. As for taxes, that's the price you pay for civilization.

It is not classless or disrespectful to the office. Clinton was a foul mouth, who, numerous stories have detailed, had no respect for the FBI (as further evidenced by his nickname for the Director of the same), the CIA, the Secret Service or the Joint Chiefs. He also so had little respect for it that he sexually abused at least two of his underlings in the White House, including making one of them watch while he jerked off into the sink. When it comes that Bush is doing anything close to the same I will call him classless too.

Almost anyone else in any other job in America who had that littany of insubordination (and other crimes and misdeamnors) would be summarily fired.

God told Bush it was okay, the soldiers are by extension covered. They are his instrumentality to carry out God's will.

Obviously God has injected himself into policy and morality is the foundation of a lot of policy and law. Your inability to recognise any common absolute morality is affront to God's proclamations and directives.

The only way you could know if it was a deterrent or not is if you were the person it was deterring or not. If a terrorist comes to my door and I point thje 9mm at his head and he runs away, it is a deterrent. Don't be so sure that has not happened.
