I don't care (um, as long as I'm not having to revise their prior crappy work while they "work from home" and try to make all of their work problems my work problems, and then kibbitz incessantly even though they won't take any responsibility. Those people damn well better know how to capitalize.).

To be fair, my father's e-mails are pretty hard to decipher. The man has three degrees (some from schools that would make ppnyc swoon, and others, well, Gig'em Aggies!), has written several scientific articles for publication and reads a lot. He just hates to write, and he's not very good at it. If he can dictate, he's ok, so most people are not subjected to his creative spelling, grammar and punctuation rules. But those of us in his inner circle are rather impressed that his e-mails are about as hard to read as his handwriting.

So he only emails those in his inner circle? If someone outside emails him, does he forward it to an inner circler asking them to respond?
An inner circle is nice, especially if it has one or two outer circles to go with it, but what I really want is for all my people to have people.

I feel as if I've just had the wind knocked out of me and my heart aches.
If not only my heart but the heart of Mr. Altman's wife and family and many fellow actors/artists that admire him for his work and love him for making people laugh whenever and however he could..
Robert altman made dreams possible for many independent aspiring filmmakers, as well as creating roles for countless actors.
I am lucky enough to of been able to work with Robert Altman amongst the other greats on a film that I can genuinely say created a turning point in my career.
I learned so much from Altman and he was the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years.
The point is, he made a difference.
He left us with a legend that all of us have the ability to do.
So every day when you wake up.
Look in the mirror and thank god for every second you have and cherish all moments.
The fighting, the anger, the drama is tedious.
Please just take each moment day by day and consider yourself lucky to breathe and feel at all and smile. Be thankful.
Life comes once, doesn't 'keep coming back' and we all take such advantage of what we have.
When we shouldn't..... '
Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourselves' (12st book) -everytime there's a triumph in the world a million souls hafta be trampled on.-altman Its true. But treasure each triumph as they come.
If I can do anything for those who are in a very hard time right now, as I'm one of them with hearing this news, please take advantage of the fact that I'm just a phone call away.
God Bless, peace and love always.
Thank You,"

Is that a dark beer? A neighborhood bar has it on tap, but I've never tried it (the place has about 40 beers on tap, so I'm not just lazy about that one). I like the name though.

But maybe the better approach would be to see through the typos and grammatical missteps to the message that she is conveying -- a message of hope and humility. Maybe if, when you woke up this morning, you said a silent thank you for the opportunity to breathe and be alive and experience life and living, you would not feel the need to throw your petty stones after spending your day trolling internet celebrity news sites. Maybe it is time for all of us to take a page from the book of Robert Altman, because he left us with a legend that all of us have the ability to do. And I don't know about the rest of you, but I am going to use my abilities to the best of my ability, because I just realized that I have a little legend-doing to do, while I'm still breathing and alive and have the chance.

Good luck with all that. And don't forget to treasure each triumph as they come.

Come on. She doesn't know that a surname and the first word of a sentence each require capitalization? My second-grader knows that.
Obviously, she is uneducated and could not care less about displaying her ignorance to all and sundry.

You want to throw away the love we had when we agreed yesterday already?
I don't know much about this transaction because I spent most of my time between closing and spanky hell yesterday, but the quick clip I saw on ESPN this morning had a side by side comparison of their numbers and his ERA over roughly the same amount of time is like .50 worse. His wins and losses are comparable. I don't think he's worth that much to talk to, but you set the market, right? So, yeah. I guess, based on his numbers, we got a deal.
We'll have to revisit and compare when they both turn out to be busts.
