I saw Roddick play on Friday. Good match. You are 100% right about his eyes being too close together, though. He is ugly. I don't get the big deal - there were tons of groupie-type girls there swooning at him.

I also saw Daniela Hantuchova get blown out of the water. I don't think she is anorexic (she is skinny, but actually looks very muscular in person), but she did not look all that good (kept making unforced errors).

Has anyone seen Carlos? He looks UNBELIEVABLE. Even McEnroe was talking about it.
Must have been a poll on the state of their tennis game, NOT there bangableness. It would be great if Andre won, and I enjoy watching Roddick play but neither one makes the bangable list.

Moya makes the bangable list. Like his tat too. But I've got to cheer on El Anyaoui if their match ever gets played today.

I love Younes. Love the old timers. Carlos doesnt always show that much heart on the court. Had a hard time rooting for him in that classic with Martin a couple of years back but wow is he a beauty (those pics STILL dont do him justice). Match I most want to see today is Hewitt- Srichipan. THAT should be a balls out five setter. Fucking blows taht the featured night match is roddick-malisse. I may have to root for Xavier for a few minutes so there is an interesing set late in the game.

And I really want to see my favorite lesbian besides Martina (who I also saw= my hero) play Clijsters (who I also saw). Go amelie.

Has this ever happened to you?

I opened up my email this morning and I had an email containing information about something I have been working on the past few weeks, and asking people to attend an event for which I have been providing some legal assistance.

As I was reading this email I was thinking, "wow, this looks very familiar to me."

Then I realized why. It was my damn email. I had written it a few weeks ago and submitted it to a listserv to try to encourage some people to attend this event. Someone else on the listserv deleted my name, signed her own name, and sent it to a bunch of people.

Another colleague, unaware who had really written the email, sent it to a list of people as well, and she included me.

I am a victim of email theft!

How rude!

Anyway, last night's show was nothing great. There is some possibility that this will be played out soon because there are only so many tips they can give out... Carson dressed that guy horribly. Thom's rooms were less inspired than usual. Making a guy shuck oysters is cruel. And who really thought that he would be able to dance after one lame lesson that involved sliding across the floor on his knees? Really.
  • I think they tell the SGs not to shave or get haircuts for a couple of weeks before they're up. I doubt last night's SG always looks like a total bum.
  • ROCHESTER BIG & TALL? WTF? He's only 6'3". What's next, Carson takes a 5'4" man to the children's department at Target?
  • Those track suits were pathetic.
  • I sincerely believe Jai was sporting wood when they introduced the SG to the personal trainer.
  • Are there no people left in NYC with personalities who also happen to be in need of a makeover? Slave, call your office.
  • I wonder why the salon segment is on the cutting room floor. Maybe the stylist was noticeably hetero or something. Or Kyan got some visible wood of his own looking in the mirror and ruined the take.
  • How does a Data Entry Technician afford any apartment with a separate bedroom?
  • Ted seems to have lost some weight since the first episode. He wasn't fat before, so maybe sudden stardom has given him a bad case of the LFBs.
  • The SG's mom had style for an older chick. Wonder if that's one of things that gets lost during meiosis.
  • Thom was the only one wearing anything I might consider being seen in. Still my fave of the 5.
  • For once, Ted didn't flub his tip. But lordy he's a poor dancer.
  • I might just get my teeth whitened. How much does that shit cost?
  • WTF happened to Carson's hair in the reveal? Was that a perm?

I've never seen CSI.
He was pretty good in Session 9, and not the same character. (Maybe his brother, but not quite the same.) Also, good veneers can fix that big horse-gum thing - you also need gum reduction if the problem isn't itty bitty teeth, but I've seen it done.

Also re: movies, another PG movie featuring breasticles: How to Beat the High Cost of Living, which featured what were probably not Jane Curtin's breasts.

While I was hoping to find a pic of Robby topless, cuz a pic is worth a thousand words, I could not. BUt I did find his email address and will ask him to send me on. In the meantime, let's just say "martini glass". and not blonde or red.

The best of the many good things about Old School is the band that's playing the wedding in the first 10 minutes. It's a real band called the Dan Band, starring Dan Finnerty (sp?), who's married to Kathy Nijimy, which is weird, because he's not fat and she isn't. Anyways, I've seen the Dan Band perform a few times, and their shtick is pretty much what you see in the movie.

If you don't remember, Dan Band is singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart," and throwing in totally gratuitous F-bombs throughout the song -- "turn around, every now and then I get a little bit terrified, I see that fuckin look in your eyeeeeees . . ." --

It comes with nattily dressed backup singers and great choreography. If you're ever in LA, Dan Band is definitely a must-see. Let me know if you're coming, I'll score you some seats. I have a connection because Kathy Nijimy was my celebrity partner on Pyramid and she screwed up, costing me $10,000.

Nothing is going to top the Younes-Novak match from the last round. That final set was incredible. Amazing tennis from both players. Much better than that Conners-Krickstein match they always replay.

I wish they would replay Goran's Wimbledon win. I had to work that day and listening to it over the web didn't do it justice. ESPNClassic said they were trying to get as an Instant Classic, but I've never seen it.

Plus, there's the slow instrumental verson of Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" playing after Blue's funeral...

The problem with "Old School" is that all the funny is crammed into the first half of the movie. From "I recommend you stop being such a faggot" to the "trust tree," it's going along great.

And then Andy Dick shows up. And he is not funny.

Even though he goes away, the rest of the movie is simply not funny. It's a sad thing, really. Like being away at the beach and getting a phone call telling you that your wife's aunt died. It's not enough reason to cut the vacation short, but it puts a damper on the rest of the weekend.
