Anna who has never won a tournament
Frank DeFord speaks out on ogling women (and men) in sports and says to stop pestering Anna it isn't her fault she's hot or that men like to look at her.

I am amzed at how much they all seem to genuinely hate each other. Everyone talking about secret alliances blah, blah, blah. They are truly an unlikeable bunch.

The HOH gets to renominate someone for eviction, not the veto holder. right?

1. He did look quite Krameresqe
2. Yeah, the big and tall store was totally wrong. Not missed by my SO (who shops at regular stores and is taller than the SG)
3. I heart Thom. My fave also (though Kyan is good eye candy when he isn't wearing awful clothes).
4. Carson's hair was f'ed. No explanation...

I'm pretty sure the veto holder nominates. The idea is to take some of the power away from the HOH and force changes in strategy. If HOH had power to renominate, that takes some of the unpredictability away.

Nope, you're wrong and Paigow is right. When Nathan used the power of veto to get Allison off the block, Dana (HOH) had to nominate someone else and she picked Dave.
So if Allison saves herself, Jun picks the new person. Which is why I don't understand her strategy at all. Why nominate someone who has the veto?

What's the difference between a regular power of vito and a golden power of vito (really an awkward and unpleasantly evocative phrase, don't you think)?

Thank goodness. I was beginning to wonder about my taste in movies. I found Old School amusing at times, but not the hysterical, cutting edge, modern version of Animal House that it was purported to be. No need to rewatch for the Band, I'll just look for the sountrack and check out the tunes.
Will Ferrell must have done a lot of working out and training after the movie. While watching I couldn't help but wonder how the heck he could run a marathon.

Its good to be right. I figured that the reason she nominated Allison was so that Alison could not use her veto power on Robert or whoever Alison may be conspiring with. It ensures that the two Jun wants up are the two that are actually up.

Golden allows you to use it on yourself. More like an auto power of veto.
and, Jack Manfred is on my cool guy list, not my crush list.

Nope, the HOH nominates the replacement. Jun nominated Ali to prevent Ali from making a deal with one of the Stooges to use the veto on him and then make Jun put Erika up. This way Ali has to use the veto on herself (unless she is beyond stupid) and then Jun will put Ratbert up (unless her alliance with Jee is stronger than I think and she puts up Erika). But if she wants Jee out without making him pissed, this is perfect because Ali and Erika have the only votes unless there is a tie.
I missed Cupid last night and forgot to set the VCR. I know Joe left but what dates did the other guys go on and were there any good rections from Laura and Kimberly? Other than Robert, who will be around until the end, who does Lisa seem ready to see go?
I also missed the Who Wants to Marry Our Dad reunion on Monday. Any interesting observations from my fellow reality TV junkies?

You can use the golden power of veto on yourself and the regular power of veto only on others. Last year they only had one golden power of veto, this season one of the stupid-ass "twists" is that every veto is golden.
This season has sucked except for the initial twist of bringing in the exes. Who the hell cares that Jun got to go to the VMAs or that the veto competition was held before the nomination ceremony. I need more, dammit, moooooore.

In prior years, most vetos were regular - meaning one could not save themselves, only someone else. Paigs and BL are right - if Alison saves herself (which she will b/c no matter what you say about her she is not as moronic as Marcellas), Jun renominates. Whether she will put up Robert to guarantee getting rid of one more Stooge or Erika because she would guarantee getting rid of someone who would beat her (Jee or Erika) is the question. The key to the endgame is who wins HOH tonight.

Sign of the Apocalypse
Diaz is the world’s highest-paid actress, Guinness World Records announced last week, snatching the title from Julia Roberts.
In other news, bitch broke her nose on a foam surfboard.
HONOLULU, Sept. 3 — It wasn’t quite the birthday in paradise Cameron Diaz was hoping for. Diaz said she broke her nose Saturday - her 31st birthday - during a surfing mishap off Waikiki Beach. Diaz said she was surfing with her older sister and a couple of friends when she wiped out and someone’s board hit her in the face. Diaz and her sister said the mishap was caused by someone outside their group.
Her sister, Chimene, said it could have been worse if the board that struck Diaz hadn’t been made of foam. She also said her sister’s nose looked a lot better Tuesday than it did over the Labor Day weekend.
Broken nose here - damn I wish there was a picture
