We poor folk never made it to camp. Sniff sniff.
Speaking of broke, can I say it's about damn time???!!!
From Forbes...
NEW YORK, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Universal Music Group, the world's largest record company, on Wednesday said it will cut list prices on compact discs by as much as 30 percent in an effort to boost sales that have been stymied by free online music-sharing services such as Kazaa.
Starting in October, Universal, the home to such artists as Mary J. Blige, U2 and Elton John, will trim its prices on most of its CDs to $12.98 from its current $16.98-$18.98 range of prices.
I'm not supporting file sharing and have never done it - really. It's true. That said, CD prices have been too high for too long. This is what those greedy bastards deserve. The bulk of the money never went to the artists anyway - just ask TLC.

Uh, no.
RESOLVED: Bigger losers go to debate camp than to band camp.
Discuss.

Me neither. AG needs to get his ass over to the tool table, along with those band camp people.

Anyone ever been to Burning Man? (spree: article with links to pictures that might not be what you want on your screen when that partner storms in, but the article is OK) Should I regret that I've always been doing something else, or should I continue to feel cooler than the hipsters that flock to the playa?

Sounds like a place where pasty kids sit in a cabin and debate what to do all day while other kids are out having fun...
As a parent, I'm definitely sending the "little fingers" to a place where they can learn to argue with me better. Oh yeah, where do I sign 'em up...

"Band camp" would not be all that different -- a place where kids with cabin fever wear pasties and debate who to do all day.

Well except for the fact that a woman was killed by her "float" (an accident whose time had come) I guess you will have to decide for yourself if you like to be around those types of debate camp people.
I've been told that it has become "commercialized" and not at all like the pagan ritual of former years. So, you may be too late.

Several GA's kicked around the idea of going this year - and we all sort of decided we would only do it if we rented a Winnebago.
And that sort of kills the whole point, no?

Better yet. Save your money and join me and my college buddies in Vegas when the AVN Convention is in town January 8th through 11th of 2004. Oh, the sights to be seen...
(That's the porn convention for the uninitiated...)
