Coming off a non-athletic triumph tonight (near 70% bridge game), I thought I'd start a poll: best and worst personal athletic moments?
Mine: (Tie) Bowling a 222, and scoring a game-winning basket in sudden-death overtime basketball (yeah goofy lawyers'-league rules).
Worst: Having a falling out with my Ultimate teammates over playing time during my senior year and deciding to go captain the "B" team, thus missing out on our run to coming within a point of the national semi-finals.
|
Best: Still to come: The culmination of my next comeback season, sub3 at Vegas; sub5:10 at Wildflower; sub10 at IMCanada; sub10:45 at Kona.
Worst: my latest failed comeback attempt.

Best: Soccer - scoring both goals in a victory against UNH when they were a nationally ranked team.
Worst: Swimming - inhaling a gallon of water (or so) during a butterfly race and not being able to finish due to the coughing fit.
Re: grody - thanks for putting the valley girl accent in my head. "Oh. My. God. Grody to the max." Bastard.

best: left handed catch of jello shot (orange), thrown from sunroof of moving car to back of moving Griff's party bus. Both vehicles moving approximately 30 miles an hour, no one hurt, jello shot consumed. Bonus: I was wearing handcuffs on that wrist at the time and didn't hit anyone or myself with them.
runner up: the game leading up to my rugby injury. i've never played any sport as well before or since.
worst: ill-advised challenge of my brother to one-on-one lacrosse. only good thing to come of it was the news that the x-rays showed that my jaw wasn't broken. radiologist, not knowing that the patient was me, commented on my rack to my dad.

Well, no but he may have figured it out on his own...my white skirt was pretty see through. We got a late start and I could only get so much accomplished in the time I had....but it was impressive for me.
On another note, lunchbox collector's friends have taken to sending me the "I'm going to miss you...heard at the party" messages...do you think they're trying to go for sloppy seconds?

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
