She was awful . . . and she asked him twice.
Ramsey was very nice about it.
I long for the days of ED on the side-lines.

My mental image of Wonk doesn't include him hurdling into his car ala Bo Duke.

I got 15/20 (I should have done better, I think). 1 "female" question wrong (and I was robbed), 4 "male" questions wrong. But you can bet I got the NFL and poker questions right...

Official score: 18/20, but I'm going to claim 19/20 (who includes authors' first names?). Who knew what that hair dryer thingy was? Hint: "poofer" is incorrect.

Maybe. But I believe that he felt bad about the situation. My guess is that the straight guys did the show for the same reasons anyone does a reality show - 15 minutes, exposure, a lark, whatever. They probably didn't think through the thing much before they got there and from watching the last show you can tell that Franklin was not a happy camper when it came down to the point where he was in the running for the final pick. I believe that he genuinely liked James and the remaining mates. I bet he felt like a real schmuck.

That's why I'm claiming 16/20. I got her fucking middle name wrong (but was very close). Bullshit, I tell you. I missed lugnuts, bmw (had NO idea, but I've never owned one, so that's a disadvantage), tko (was close again), and boyscouts (had the correct answer, then changed it in a fit of indecisiveness - as we all know, a bad test-taking move).

To be a bit Timmy-ish about it, I think the distinction with the author's name is made because several other members of her family (her father) were also published authors.

At least Leslie Visser and the woman form last year (name escaping me) understood the game and seemed to have done some research. It isn't like networks looking for female sidelines reporters (if that's what they want) can't find women who understand the game. Seems like "have you ever watched football" should be their first question. If the answer is "yes, because my boyfriend realy likes it", then neg 'em. If the answer is "wtf, of course, I've been in NFL pools since I was 13, I have the dish just for the NFL package and I never make plans on Sundays during football season", then hire 'em. Voila.

Lisa Guerrero. It's like she won a contest to be there. If abc wants to promote female sports journalists, fine. If abs wants to attract male viewers with eye candy, fine. Lisa Guerrero succeeds at neither.
Serious points to you for watching (or pretending to watch, or just not interrupting during) the post-game. That makes you marriage material.

19/20. People put things on the ends of blowdryers? I am supposed to know this? I would not have known the diamond question had it not been for the FB so for that I thank you all. Looks like I am an almost perfect balance of male and female with a lean towards male -- maybe if I had longer hair I would know about this blowdryer stuff. ![Wink](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Plus, the question said that the answer was three words.

But I get extra credit for visiting her grave last fall. I'll still claim 19/20.
But after seeing RT's post I'll humbly accept 18/20. Must follow directions.

"wtf, of course, I've been in NFL pools since I was 13, I have the dish just for the NFL package and I never make plans on Sundays during football season" (all true, except that I do make plans during football season if it involves going to Vegas to bet on games)
Actually I was watching alone last night. No man there to prompt me on... ![Wink](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

He even told me that probably the best way to do that is "mail order bride" in a semi-humorous way. Here's the problem, most asian-american guys are raised by their "from asia" mom. No woman (caucasian) will be able to meet this standard. Asian moms are generally stay-at-homes and their goal in life appears to be to take care of the men in the house. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. They get out into the real world and when the asian-american guy says to the caucasian girl "hey honey, when you do my laundry this week, can you make sure to get the ass stains out of my shorts like my mom did? And I want chicken for dinner."
Caucasian chick says "fuck you, who do you think I am, your mother?" Even once asian guy has moved out of parents' house, he can always go back and mom will cook, clean and do laundry for him. Not many caucasian chicks will rise to that standard, nor will want to. It's not that they don't want to date caucasian chicks, it's just that caucasian chicks are usually not subservient enough for the asian-american males. Does that make sense?
|
This whole post is stupid, but my favorite line is: "caucasian chicks are usually not subservient enough." If I was one of those posters who responded with "lols," I would post one now.

ED? Isn't preventing that condition what Rafael Palmeiro's commercials are all about? Wrong sport, sister. (Seriously, Eric Dickerson? As a side-line reporter, Eric Dickerson was a very good running back. I mean, the guy was a great player, but ... )
Note to ABC. Eyecandy doesn't have to be clueless -- I have always liked Bonnie Bernstein of CBS

Pretty much the same for me, though I missed teh game last night due to scheduling conflicts. I did buy my PSL for the Texans the second it was available, though, even though I lived in a different city at the time.
