Wonk also has about 5 Hamiltons. He wears one of them almost daily. The Patek only comes out every few weeks and for special occasions, like when I'm meeting my imaginary friends or when I want to impress the more expensive hookers.

Not true. The right watch can impress. Needing a digital cause you never made it past the big hand-little hand stage is just, well, Ironweed.

Although if you are going for something timeless, I'd spend a few thousand more and buy something that truly is timeless, like a Patek, Baume & Mercier, or a Zenith. A Tag is not likely to last 15 years. Any of the other watches I mentioned above will last for generations.

Why won't the Tag last 15 years?

I think you forgot to add NTTAWWT.

Because they are not made well. They are made to look like they are made well.

I have a baume & mercier. It's allegedly authentic and I got it on the internet (I forget where) for $400. apparently it retails for $2000. It has lasted for a long time, so I don't think it's a fake. Plus, I can generally spot fakes, and this one does not look fake at all.
Don't pay full price for a watch! Just google the brand and see what comes up.

In Ironweed's case, there is something wrong with it. He tends to follow his "new friends" home and the protective orders are stacking up.

But tonight I suffered badly in the frigid temps walking 10 city blocks. Is there ANY fashionable dress boot that has no heel? I fondly remember my flat boots in the 80's (though they were all suede then) and how comfy there were. The problem for me is the downward thrust of the foot when the back is raised up b/c of the heel. Suggestions?
(Yes, I edited to add "thrust" to make the question more palatable.)

I must be up to about seven or eight pairs of black boots. Spikey suede ones, spikey stretcchleather ones, flat riding ones, and several outable pairs. but theses outables are incredibly comfy and incredibly gorgeous and incredibly unusual. so the answer is yes.
I am a lifetime black boot freak so I have been collecting for some time now. these boot newbers should be moving on shortly .

Sam Adams Light is actually palatable, but not stylish.

Yes, bc you would get a lot of use from it in Texas.
RIght now I am coveting a reasonably priced $3500 pearl choker made of relatively large south sea pearls. I have visited it twice now and every time I try it on it makes me breathless.
I am a pretty cheap date. dont need a five digit watch and will be happy with burritos and beer to pick up the slack.
