ETA - A lot of fat old men seem to fancy linen also.

ETA2 - Linen looks good on drunks and Peter O'Toole. Its also OK if you're the governor of a Carribean protectorate.
On whom does seersucker look good? Whenever I see a guy in a seersucker suit I think somebody left his house in his pj's. A house without a loving wife. Gentlemen who reside well south of the Mason-Dixon line who possess an indescribable old-fashioned southern gentility get a pass.

Linen can look very good on the right man, but I think you're right, most linen shirts you can buy in a department store seem to be cut for the fat man on vacation.

It's absolutely unbearable. I was watching the game the other night and after the 10th time I said "shut up" (like 3 minutes) I couldn't take it anymore and had to turn the volume down.

I hate seersucker. We've had this discussion.
So, in my search for a picture of Crocket in a linen suit - one that's not pink, I find this.

Did we know they were doing remake of Miami Vice with Colin Farrel?

In addition, I found this...a Simple Life ripoff

Why would you want to rip it off - without Paris?

On my kid, but then, everything does. He's outgrown it now, but last year and the year before he wore a seersucker suit for Easter, complete with bow tie. I can send you a pic if you'd like.

I find nearly all televised sports unbearable for this reason. Tennis is a notable exception. (I would add golf, but televised golf is unbearable despite the dulcet tones of the commentators.)

Why do sportscasters scream even though they have microphones and earpieces? I know in some cases, they may be in loud stadiums, but shouldn't they learn to modulate?

(And before I expanded my sports-viewing activities, I thought nobody could be worse than Scott Hamilton at figure skating championships.)

UGH that is just repulsive. Is he supposed to be a bad guy? Because he looks like a bad guy. Way, way sleazier than Crockett or Tubbs ever looked.

I had a vague recollection of that. But seeing the picture - enh. They could have done more with the hair. Like trim it maybe.

Yes, I could have not hit the link, but I figured it might be the obit of some E-list celeb or something kinda amusing. I just did my taxes on PMS after putting in a brutal week and having someone take ill in my family. So please spree the dead baby elephants in the future. I would really appreciate it.
Agreed. I didn't click on the link because I didn't know it was about dead baby elephants. That rocks. Are they as tasty as lamb, veal and kid? On a related note, I am looking forward to eating guinea pigs in Peru in June.

I think that time has distorted your memory.

Cheesy vs. sleazy. They rhyme, but are not the same.

Tyler Hamilton too.

Wow. Maybe I don't care so much about no OLN. I think I'll spend my summer watching Bonds chase Ruth and Aaron.

Definitely cheesy.

And a horrible drunk by all local accounts from Nash Bridges - a show I never watched.
